The role
As part of a strong team we are now looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) who will work closely with the sales organization ensuring that together we give the right attention to a set defined large End-users and consultants. Your primary focus will be defined End-users in Northern Europe.

We are looking for an experienced, results driven Business Development Manager, with a proven track record and extensive experience in working with large End-customers and security specifiers. You will be a key communicator and influencer within Video Management Software, CCTV or general security products.

Your area of focus will be multi folded, challenging and fun. The ideal candidate is having a technical insight combined with a very strong commercial flair.

There are not two days alike in Milestone Systems, which requires that you as a candidate are flexible and agile, and on the other hand know how to prioritize and plan your time and tasks ahead. The role will report to Director EMEA Community Sales and Business Development. You will be working from our office in Reading, UK or alternatively home office depending on where you are located.

Your responsibilities

  • Being proactive and build relationship with key security consultants to create and drive a pipeline.
  • Feedback to Business on Market/End-User trends focusing on Security & IT convergence.
  • Drive a (yet to be defined) vertical focus on a selected number of end-customers.
  • Support security specifiers in writing specifications around the Milestone XProtect offerings - software, hardware and services.
  • Align the Architect and Engineering program activities with Milestone’s local sales organizations.
  • Market Milestone System through events, marketing activities and trade-shows.
  • Manage Milestone’s representation in Architect and Engineering and Vertical related fora and communities.

Your professional background
You are a passionate, proactive, and independent professional that has several years of experience from the security specifier community and / or system integrator. You have a solid technical understanding of CCTV / Access Control and IP video systems and you are a skilled communicator with strong networking and influencer skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong customer orientation.
  • Team player with strong drive and willingness to take leadership role in driving initiatives, working across organizations, and structuring approaches to new opportunities.
  • You have a Can-do hunting attitude – being able to focus and deliver on short, mid and long-term plans.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
