Hempel A/S is currently looking for a Head of Sales (Protective Coating) to help grow and sustain our Protective Coating Sales in India.

Job profile:
We at Hempel A/S are looking for a new colleague to take on the role of a Head of Sales (Protective Coating) . You will be part of our Sales Team and located in Mumbai, Maharashtra (IND) but with interface with colleagues from other departments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactive to support business strategy to achieve sales targets and expand current/new market opportunities / key Customers
  • Plan and manage sales activities towards Key customers/ Accounts
  • Support marketing activities between the company and the Region.
  • Ensures meeting Target Volume / Value/ Gross Profit

You will be reporting to the General Manager and will be working independently and together with colleagues on a wide range of tasks, including;

  • Part of India Leadership Team to drive our Journey to Excellence.
  • P&L Responsibility for the Protective Segment.
  • Formulate and execute actions to achieve budget in terms of Revenue / Profitability/ Overdues.
  • Drive Sales Excellence and Performance Management through a team of Regional Managers and a few Individual Performers – Sales & Business Development.
  • Forecast annual/quarterly/monthly Sales
  • Coach and Develop the team for High Performance.
  • Execute Segment Strategies for growth,
  • Collaborate with General Manager/ Regional Sales team head to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines
  • Able to use CRM to review and track pipeline and team performance and also support the team when required
  • Assists sales personnel in establishing contact and rapport with top decision-makers, specifiers and end customers
  • Responsible for Pricing Policy and margin management
  • Senior Relationship Building with Key Customers, Government and Industry Bodies and Influencers.

Qualifications and skills:

We are looking for a candidate with experience from another professional organization who:

  • Holds a Bachelors or Masters degree, preferred having Engineering in Mechanical /Production/Chemical
  • Preferred to have Post graduation in Management from a reputed college
  • 14 to 16 years of experience, of which 6 years of Team management
  • Relevant Experience in B2B Sales
  • Practical experience of Sales Software, e.g. CRM
  • Drives Vision, Purpose and Results
  • Collaborates with cross function teams
  • Customer Focus to achieve sales excellence
  • Develops Talent & Drives Engagement
  • Plans and aligns to achieve sales target
  • Strategic Mindset to drive segment stragey
