Senior Compliance Officer, Group Financial Crime Compliance, Nordics



We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join the Financial Crime Enterprise Risk Assessment (FCERA) Team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to apply your subject matter knowledge and passion for risk management into a core strategic initiative for Nordea.

Your future responsibilities
You'll join Group Financial Crime Compliance (GFCC), where we are the bank's Financial Crime expert function positioned in 2nd line of defence and work to improve the bank's capabilities, to combat financial crime in a dynamic and challenge environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring efficient execution of the Financial Crime Enterprise Risk Assessment (“FCERA”)
  • Supporting the planning, coordination and execution of the FCERA, including qualitative data analysis and report drafting
  • Supporting the maintenance of all FCERA governing documentation, tools, templates and training
  • Driving proactive stakeholder engagement via clear communication and organization
  • Collaborating within GFCC, first line risk management and Business Area stakeholders to develop, optimise and drive continuous improvements

Your profile and background:

  • Relevant academic degree (preferably Master’s in Economics or Law or other suitable educational background) combined with excellent analytical skills
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a compliance or risk management role
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Highly collaborative with ability to influence and motivate across Business Areas, functional areas and different levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations applicable to Nordea, as well as proven track-record of achieving positive outcomes, demonstrating collaboration, ownership, passion and courage
