We are looking for QA Efficiency & Automation Leader to join the Core Banking Programme in Nordea. As QA Efficiency & Automation Leader, you will act as a servant leader to optimize QA processes with efficient utilization of test automation on all levels of a big scale agile program.

You will provide mentoring and coaching, drive continuous improvements and maintain a culture of purpose-driven work and empowered employees. In addition, as a QA Efficiency & Automation Leader you will be a key member of the QA Leadership Team and will be responsible for the end to end definition, management and improvement of all QA activities on the programme.

Your future responsibilities
You’ll join Testing & QA. The Core Banking Programme (CBP) is a central part of simplification in Nordea. CBP is driving the largest Nordic core banking transformation.

The deliveries from CBP will result in one common core platform - named N-Core. CBP works agile, performs simplification in Nordea Products and migrates the product portfolio into a T24 system.

We are located in the Nordics, Poland and India. This position will reside in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define and drive vision for Testing Efficiency and Test Automation across the CBP programme
  • Provide goals and objectives for test automation across different release trains with support of shared teams
  • Own and Manage the backlog of work in areas of Test Efficiency and Automation, as well as provide leadership, guidance to test automation community
  • Actively collaborate with Test Managers, development teams and infrastructure teams to get the best benefits of test automation across all areas of CBP programme and integrating test automation as an integral part of Continuous delivery pipeline
  • Pro-actively measure, improve and report effectiveness of the test automation against identified goals and objectives
  • Positively contribute to reduce time to market for releases
  • Articulate the value and outcome of test automation within CBP across the wider bank
  • Collaborate closely with test automation architect for building successful test automation implementation

Your profile and background:

  • Significant (5yr+) experience as lead or manager for Test Automation teams
  • Proven experience in defining and operationalization of test automation strategy
  • Experience in Test Efficiency operation on a programme, or organisation of significant scale, experience in distributed teams, multi-cultural environment, as well as excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • A solid understanding of test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery in a professional software development environment
  • Good understanding of banking context, preferably Core Banking Systems
  • Bachelor/Master’s in Computer Science, engineering or related subject
