As programme manager, you get to drive strategic change through complex sales and marketing programmes.

Your challenges
At the VELUX Sales & Marketing organisation, we want to make a true business impact. Joining the PMO team in Commercial Development in Hørsholm, Denmark, you will be responsible for managing large sales and marketing programmes in close collaboration with the programme owners.

The programmes are already underway. It is up to you to ensure their further progression and success, translating the programmes into clearly defined activities and projects and driving them together with the project managers to ensure success.

“Most of our programmes are essentially about transforming the way we go to market through different marketing and sales initiatives. Driving this change requires exceptional business understanding and a fundamental interest – not only in driving a complex project forward but also in keeping track of why we do so,” says Tine Kragh Nielsen, Director, Commercial Development.

Acting as a partner and advisor to the programme owner, you will:

  • Explore and define business needs and desired results to develop appropriate road maps
  • Manage programme activities, budgets, costs and risks with a basis in business strategy
  • Ensure we have an optimal programme organisation consisting of project managers and other Sales & Marketing colleagues as well as facilitate global and local support and involvement among internal stakeholders
  • Manage, coach and develop the project management team attached to your programme, including facilitating workshops
  • Follow up on all programme activities and ensure that the programme brings the desired business impacts

As this is a global role, you can expect 30-40 days of travel a year – primarily to conduct programme activities and meet with colleagues at our 40 sales companies around Europe.

Your qualifications
We are looking for an experienced commercial profile with strong leadership skills combined with a thorough understanding of business strategy. You are a brilliant communicator who can challenge, support and involve business managers to define programme objectives and make sure the programme lives up to its full potential.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have extensive project management experience corresponding to an IPMA B level certification, or, perhaps, you have solid experience as a management consultant combined with strong project management competencies
  • Have the competencies in place to lead and coach a team of skilled project managers across an international sales & marketing organisation
  • Know how to manage change within a major international organisation by listening to and involving stakeholders at all levels
  • Have excellent English communication skills in both speech and writing
