Job description
We seek to appoint a PostDoc to take part in research and knowledge exchange in the research project with close collaboration with Nokia Bell Labs.

The reasearch is expected to include:
Identification of 5G New Radio (NR) communication technologies and communication methods for robot to robot/drone to drone communication (D2D) which meets stringent reliability requirements for both collision avoidance, drone swarming, robot swarming and extended range, where the robots/drone potentially move with speeds ranging from low to high.

Analysis of the performance of D2D communication, and Device to infrastructure, by means of advanced computer simulations, complemented by experimental data from e.g. radio channel measurements.

The research include development of related 5G NR D2D solutions, as well as which information elements to exchange to make the vision of swarms of robots and drones come true. Including derivation of cooperative policies, collision avoidance methods, related mobility solutions, etc. The candidate is expected to have a solid background in radio system design, preferrably with insight on LTE and 5G NR. Also knowledge of control theory and ML/AI disciplines is an advantage, as well as experience with advanced computer simulations (and related development of such).

Part of the research will be contributed 3GPP NR standardization to ensure high impact via Nokia Bell Labs, including also active dissemination via writing of high-quality scientific papers for prestigious international conferences and Journals.
