MHPSS COLLABORATIVE

Are you passionate about working for children's rights in fragile states and humanitarian settings? Do you believe that all humanitarian agencies have a responsibility to protect and promote the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing for children, youth and their families affected by conflicts and disasters? WHAT WE OFFER

This role is offering an opportunity to work for the MHPSS Collaborative (Mental Health & Psychosocial support), hosted by Save the Children Denmark for six months with potential extension, at an exciting time when the field of MHPSS is growing exponentially. The MHPSS Collaborative is a global platform for MHPSS research, practice, learning and advocacy. We connect key academic and humanitarian actors with local civil society to support quality MHPSS programmes at scale for children and families in fragile and humanitarian contexts.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Project support including communication with key partners, tracking and submitting deliverables to donors, drafting advocacy and position pieces, creating social media content and organizing all project related material.
  • Tracking spending on awarded grants and draft new grant applications for project extensions.
  • Plan and organize various key stakeholders’ meetings, taking care of various logistical tasks before and during meetings.

YOUR PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Solid understanding of international humanitarian action and/or international development cooperation
  • Skilled project assistant, who takes initiative on organizational systems development
  • Financial management skills, including detailed knowledge of budgets
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office package
  • Documented experience in coordination and administration within the NGO sector
  • Demonstrated experience in basic project coordination and events management
  • Proven experience with financial management (including project budgets)
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Danish language skills is an asset

TERMS & RECRUITMENT PROCESS

You will be employed according to the terms and conditions of the local Collective Agreement between Red Barnet and the relevant unions. Employment and salary follow SCD’s present terms and conditions.

Deadline for applications is 25th August 2019 at midnight. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis. Start date as soon as possible, preferably mid-September.
