Intern supporting EU affairs at our Brussels office

Udlandet (øvrige)

Country: Belgium
Working hours: Full-time
Application deadline: 2019-10-20T23:59:59.0000000
Workplace: Brussels

Do you want to push for more renewable energy in Europe?

Join us and become Intern at our Brussels office where you’ll influence decisions and handle tasks on your own, thereby contributing with your knowledge and expertise. You’ll gather intelligence and help to increase the presence of our Group in Brussels

The Brussels office works with the European institutions and other European stakeholders. During the next semester, we’ll see what Ursula von der Leyen plans to do to execute her ambitious green agenda. Several pieces of legislation are expected within 100 days of her taking office. We’ll therefore be busy influencing the agenda of the new European Commission. The office has only one employee, which means that you as Intern will have to deal with a range of different tasks.

Your key tasks will be to

  • collect intelligence on new regulatory topics
  • coordinate campaigns and alliances pushing for specific objectives
  • participate in external meetings, often on your own
  • develop ideas for new initiatives to further our objectives.

We work on a range of topics related to regulatory frameworks (e.g. political targets and market conditions), including for renewable energy technologies, energy storage (including hydrogen) and waste recycling technologies.

Your competences include that you

  • are currently studying for a relevant degree in engineering or economics
  • have strong numerical skills and have worked with Excel during your studies
  • enjoy learning completely new topics outside of your experience and comfort zone
  • have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks.

Moreover, you speak and write English fluently (French is an asset, but not required).
