Passion, perfection and predictability
We are looking for a candidate with a passion for robotics and applications in a team context. A person who is open minded and willing to both learn from others and pass on own learnings. As a robotics engineer at Universal Robots:

  • You cut through the math needed to make robots move like a warm knife through butter
  • You understand industrial automation, how to solve real world automation tasks, and you are able to see things in our customer’s context
  • You are a proficient C++ programmer because after all the majority of your time will be spend implementing algorithms and features in C++
  • Engineering for quality is a natural part of your workflow because you hate when things break and more so when they break twice

It is this combination of traits which makes you special. To put this differently, we require the following formal qualifications:

  • A relevant master’s degree, probably in robotics or mathematics (kinematics, Lagrange, trajectory generation, linear algebra, numerical analysis, control theory, real-time systems)
  • Proven experience with industrial robot applications
  • At least 3 years of C++ experience working in a team on a shared code base
  • Speak and write English fluently

It is an advantage if you also have experience in the following fields:

  • Linux
  • Python, Bash or other scripting languages
  • Automated testing, continues integration and continues delivery
