Oticon is a large, growing company in the medical-technical industry where our 600+ engineers are all committed to deliver high quality, high tech solutions for hearing impaired people worldwide. You will face many opportunities for professional and personal development: We stand for state-of-the-art development methods and serious engineering skills. We want unmatched, high performing solutions and we walk the extra mile in our quest for technological excellence.

Be part of a full development cycle
In our Hardware function, we are continuously working dedicated to integrating the company’s own chipsets onto small hearing aid PCBs. The group consists of more than 50 engineers and technicians, who are responsible for developing all electronics for Oticon’s hearing aids. You will be involved in all steps from initial product specification to design handover for mass-production. You will get a chance to design electronics platforms against challenging technical requirements and wishes for smaller and smaller devices assisted by experienced colleagues, advanced CAD- and simulation tools and modern lab-facilities.

Our hearing aids are based on Oticon’s proprietary in-house developed IC’s. The task of our group is to integrate those IC’s along with other technologies like Bluetooth antenna, nEARlink antenna, Telecoil and acoustical transducers. Designing small size products with excellent performance is the key driver for success and the limited space and high integration level makes this a very challenging task. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinating technical activities in a HW development project and driving cross functional HW integration activities by combining your skills and an outgoing mindset
  • Integration of IC’s and other key components onto PCB’s with size, signal integrity and challenging requirements in mind
  • Verification of electrical performance
  • Documentation of own work by means of e.g. design specifications, test specifications and measurement reports

Your backpack
You are coming with a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering and have some years of work experience within product development. You appreciate coordinating design activities within the project team and at the same time maintain an overview and be able to tie things together on a system level. Furthermore, it will be a plus if you have:

  • Experience in working with audio quality and disturbances
  • Knowledge within regulatory requirements, preferably for medical equipment
  • Experience with PCB layout evaluation with signal integrity in mind
  • Knowledge within high frequency and/or EMC design

You are true team player and thrive in an international environment with a high pace and where two days are rarely alike. You are driven to see that your tasks are in progress, and you take an analytical and systematical approach to complex problem solving. You know how to work according established quality processes and have a good documentation practice, as we are a medical device regulated company.

We are looking forward to hearing from you
