System Test Engineer for Oticon
Denmark Do you have a passion for testing complex integrated systems? Will you thrive in working with our systems, where audiology, electro-acoustic, software and hardware all have to come together in an integrated solution making a difference for people with hearing impairment? Can you see yourself as a central figure in designing and preparing and executing both automated and manual test in a company where these are high on the strategic agenda?

If the answer is “Yes” you could be the person we are looking for to join our Systems Integration and Verification department.

Join a team of highly skilled and dedicated System Test Engineers

As a System Test Engineer, you will report in the line to a test organization and on a daily basis you will be a part of a feature team (Scrum like) where we test and develop features.

You will be joining a department consisting of 12 very skillful System Test Engineers. We are a key player in test execution from requirements/prototype to final verification. In this setup you will be reviewing and analyzing system requirements for testability within the development department.

Besides the daily dialogue with your close colleagues, you can look forward to interfacing with the rest of Oticon’s big R&D organization.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Reviewing and discussing system requirements for test ability
  • Creating test design involving all stakeholders from both requirement, development and test
  • Creating test cases
  • Execute test cases
  • Update test cases for already released functionality
  • Documentation of executed tests
  • Debug and critically assess test output in order to provide constructive feedback to developers

Experience in testing integrated systems

We anticipate that you have experience in test within complex systems composed of multiple software and hardware platforms, wireless technologies and protocols, and compatibility between devices. You have gained this experience within e.g. the medical device industry, mobile phone industry or other relevant industry.
Our development is based on the V model, and we use DOORS and RQM for managing requirements and test cases, respectively. If you are ISTQB certified it will be an advantage.
We also use Matlab in development work of automated test cases, so experience in programming/scripting will also be useful.

Outgoing and Analytical

As a system tester in Systems Integration and Verification, you will have a large network within the organization and as such it is necessary for you to be open, outgoing and to excel at communication and coordination. Your approach to your work can be characterized as structured, systematic and analytical. You possess the ability to find solutions in a complex environment. You work well both with details and in the wide perspective in finding the complete solution.
