Bagsværd, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Do your passion intersects between Supply Chain Management and Data Analytics? Are you energised when solving complex problems with data? And do you want to play an important role in a supply chain delivering life-changing medicines to 29 million patients in 170 countries? If yes, hurry up and apply!

About the department
Our ambition is to be in the frontier of Supply Chain Data Analytics by employing machine learning models and various supply chain modelling techniques to accelerate data driven decisions and optimisations of the supply chain. We are anchored in the global Supply Chain Development office that works across the end-to-end supply chain.

You will join a team that consists of 14 colleagues from seven different countries. You will be working together with Supply Chain Consultants that have strong Supply Chain knowledge combined with data analytics skills, Data Scientists that converts data into machine learning models & predictions and Data Engineers that structure- and make data available.

The position
You will play a critical role of translating between the technical expertise of data science/data engineering and supply chain management. You will have three overall responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate delivery of advanced analytics use cases from idea through development to anchoring with a small cross-functional team consisting of data scientist, data engineer and local process expert
  • Build a pipeline and manage the portfolio of advanced analytics cases. You will identify and prioritise supply chain problems based on which will create the biggest value when solved
  • Function as strategic partner in setting the direction for analytics and understand how new technologies, tools or techniques can help solve supply chain problems in a more powerful way with greater impact

A day at work can look like this: In the morning you meet with a logistic manager to ensure a pipeline of new use cases and discuss a potential shared use case to increase throughput of a warehouse. You tap into your working knowledge of machine learning and analytics to align expectations and clarify the potential/effort. Afterwards, you meet with one of the data scientists to discuss a model she is building to optimise the purchase pattern. You tap into your strong understanding of Supply Chain Management as part of the feature engineering. The meeting is wrapped up by discussing key points for the status meeting with management the next day. In the afternoon, you have a call with an external company to get inspiration on how to work with augmented analytics in practice.

You have a Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, Finance or similar supplemented with:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience e.g. problem solving the supply chain using data e.g. global planner or management consulting
  • Min. 2 years of experience leading small project teams
  • Agile practitioner e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking or alike as a toolbox for project management and facilitation of workshops
  • Strong acumen in quantitative analytics and structured problem-solving methods
  • Understand what machine learning models are available what problems they can be applied to
  • Ability to interpret models and identify potential model error such as overfitting
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills

You have an entrepreneurial mindset with a high drive and it comes naturally to you to test new techniques, software and ways of working. You have a burning desire to learn new things and are curious about the processes and people you work with.

As we are a global company and an international team, fluency in both spoken and written English is required.
