Step into Indirect Procurement at GN Hearing HQ in Ballerup, Denmark. Our small but ambitious team constitutes 3 category managers in Denmark and 1 in the USA as well as our director. We are on an ongoing journey to achieve the full potential of our function and finding a sustainable balance between cost and service. And as we support our colleagues and negotiate and design global contracts with suppliers, we facilitate our company’s goal of transforming lives through the power of sound.

Ensure value-adding and cost-optimized sourcing
You will have end-to-end responsibility for procurement activities within your category on both strategic and operational levels. Doing so, you will both act as a sounding board to different managers, drive projects and negotiations as well as roll up your sleeves to perform more hands-on tasks. Specifically, you will:

• Engage and support business stakeholders in defining fit for purpose category strategies
• Develop relevant information and gain an overview of market development and trends
• Carry out opportunity assessments as well as spend, baseline and demand analyses
• Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, securing the best achievable commercial terms
• Define and manage your own project pipeline as well as contribute to team-based projects
• Manage and qualify suppliers and create performance reviews

“Besides managing your category, you will also get to take part in setting the strategic direction for Indirect Procurement. And we expect you to contribute to creating awareness and transparency about spend and indirect procurement throughout the GN organization,” explains Director for Indirect Procurement Helena Petersen, who will be your manager.

Skilled project manager with a sourcing background
You are a natural at negotiating, networking and collaborating with management stakeholders. You are familiar working in cross-functional teams in an international, intercultural environment. And you approach your role with proactiveness and eagerness – whether you are working to improve internal processes and frameworks, optimize contracts or source a new partner to one of our business units.

Moreover, we expect you to:
• Have solid sourcing experience from e.g. a global procurement function or procurement consultancy
• Understand vendor and contract management processes
• Preferably, bring knowledge and experience from indirect categories
• Be experienced within project management and aware of change management tools
• Bring strong analytical skills as well as be able to disseminate complex data
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills in English
