Senior Cyber Security Analyst for Cyber Vigilant team

We are looking for several Senior Cyber Security Analysts and Managers to join the number one professional services Firm and the global leader in Cyber Risk services.

To do so, you will be actively tracking such adversaries’ operations and the Tactics, Tools and Procedures (TTPs) they use to degrade and deny adversaries the ability to target our clients. This will help us achieve our global mission to manage cyber everywhere, so society can go anywhere.

Your team
As part of Deloitte Cyber Risk based out of Copenhagen, you will join the Cyber Vigilant team comprised of highly skilled technical and operational consultants, security analyst and architects – several formerly working in intelligence services.
As part of our North and South Europe member firm, you will join over 1,100 Cyber Risk professionals delivering world-class Cyber Risk services across the region, a quarter of which is based out of the Nordics. You will also be an integral member of our Cyber Intelligence Centre located in Copenhagen, fully integrated with the European Cybersphere Centre in Madrid that delivers 24x7 security operations to our clients.

Your assignments
As a Senior Security Analyst / Manager you will be part of the Level 2 analyst team and responsible for performing initial analysis, triage and remediation. In this role, you will work directly with clients taking a combination of the following responsibilities:

  • Maturing and developing clients’ security services by optimizing and modifying the defensive capabilities to an ever-changing threat landscape;
  • Taking part in projects to help clients build these capabilities as an adviser and Subject Matter Resource (SMR) in advisory and implementation projects
  • Developing and documenting new detection capabilities and implementing these on new and existing clients
  • Help lead the adoption of process documentation and standardized methodology to mature processes in security operations
  • Mentoring other analysts and assist them in analyzing threat and vulnerability alerts.

Your qualifications
As a skilled member of our Cyber Risk team, we expect that you will be able to teach us something new, as we are hoping to do the same. You will essentially possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum four years of experience in a technical analytical role, preferably hands-on SOC experience as Level 2 or consultant or with architect capacities
  • Good understanding of cyberattack kill chains and the process or phases that are used; experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework is a plus
  • Strong ability to analyze, triage and remediate security incidents, and demonstrate ability in network forensics, intelligence analysis and log analysis
  • Strong technical skills in the majority of the following:
    • Strong OS knowledge (Windows, *nix, network platforms)
    • Good knowledge of hacking tools and techniques
    • Ability to conduct vulnerability testing and understanding the results
    • Endpoint detection and protection tools
    • Firewall and IPS/IDS protocols
    • Network protocol understanding and Network Application Protocols
    • Cloud Computing and monitoring in the Cloud
    • Strong experience in one or more of the following SIEM / Log Management platforms: QRadar, ELK, and/or Splunk
    • Basic programming skills in various disciplines, including scripting languages
  • BSc university degree preferably in a technical subject or applied sciences; MSc desirable

As a client-facing member of the team, you will also possess the following:

  • Ability to quickly understand the client environment and identify client business requirements, building strong relationships
  • Ability to work independently, define targets and prioritize tasks in a complex and demanding environment
  • Ability to plan and execute a project to deliver a superior client experience. Next to that, ability to build an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and stay up-to-date on industry activities, marketplace trends, innovation efforts, and leading practices
  • A team player who is committed, proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to learn
