ODENSE, DENMARK The Site Manager supports the Data Center Area Manager in reducing risk, responding to incidents and overall direction & leadership of the on-site security team. Supports and executes global physical security programs, initiatives, processes and best practices to build a safe and secure environment. Supports the Area Manager in implementing and supporting Global Security Operations, Data Center Security, and Crisis Management initiatives, processes and best practices to strengthen strategic goals and drive performance metrics. Manages the crisis management team in emergency situations. Acts as the site Security lead in the absence of the Area Manager. SITE SECURITY MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the site security vendor and interact with key stakeholders to ensure the site security team is following all Facebook polices, Global Security Standards, Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • The Site Security Manager helps to ensure the effective execution of Global Physical Security strategies to include enforcement of business conduct and integrity standards, employee safety and security, investigations, crisis response, business continuity and security and government partnerships.
  • Assists in the coordination of security services to support planned and unplanned operations and supports incident investigation efforts.
  • Manages site security audit and compliance program, develops corrective plans in partnership with the Security Area Manager when risks and vulnerabilities are identified.
  • Manages the site's crisis management function, ensures activities in support of resiliency, business continuity, and incident response support site's circle of leadership decision-making processes.
  • Manages site security pilots and projects, providing physical and operational security and data center operational subject matter expertise for implementation while communicating project updates to the Security Area Manager and others impacted.
  • Monitors key performance indicators, determines gaps in performance metrics, and recommends/executes change management techniques for efficiency/quality improvements.
  • Develops and supports strategic plans and projects to meet site security goals and objectives Influences and improves upon existing processes through innovation and operational change.
  • Evaluates the performance of existing site security technologies and systems and ensures the identification and escalation of issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversees the security support to site construction and facility retrofit initiatives in accordance with Global Physical Security standards, maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout construction efforts.
  • Monitors the vendor's training of the site security team on all current and new technologies and processes. In the absence of or in support of the Security Area Manager, communicates effectively to key partners on incidents, emerging risks, and other issues that may impact Facebook's data center operations, employees, or vendors.


  • 3+ years’ experience in security or related field.
  • Experience drafting in technical and non-technical formats
  • Ability to present both extemporaneously and in formal settings
  • Analytical skills and an ability to conduct industry benchmarking, survey evaluation and data interpretation
  • Experience in the areas of emergency/disaster management, physical security, critical incident stress management, risk management and business resiliency
  • Proven ability to work in a customer facing organization
  • Experience with emergency procedure protocols and regulatory interfaces
  • Knowledge of relevant and available security technology
  • Knowledge of relevant and available security technology
  • Knowledge of business strategy, principles, standards, policies, and procedures


  • Diploma or degree in business, security or related fields
  • Safety & Security management experience or law enforcement or military background
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • International experience
