The aim of the DM Systems and Standards Graduate Programme is to give you extensive exposure to the systems and standards used in collecting a key asset--our clinical trial data, with a strong focus on competencies such as data literacy, data analysis, data visualization, and machine learning. You will gain an in-depth understanding of our IT systems, data flow, and data standards, helping drive our transformation within data management via innovative and cutting-edge solutions.

About the Data Management Systems and Standards graduate programme
The two-year programme consists of three rotations in different parts of the Global Development organisation or areas which strong ties to Global Development - but anchored in the Data Management skill area.

You will be given a broad range of responsibilities within the area and work with the management, standardisation and visualisation of data from our clinical trials

You will get a unique insight into the full global development value chain of Novo Nordisk, and you will be part of a highly skilled and motivated international working environment, with dynamic teams, each of which are providing Novo Nordisk with a competitive edge and driving state of the art drug development.

You will enjoy the privilege of being part of both formal and informal graduate networks which will allow you to broaden your learning’s even further, while building your opportunities and relationships across the company.

The position
During the 2-year programme you will undertake three challenging and exciting rotations of 8-months duration each.

The first rotation is planned to take place within the Systems and Standards department at corporate headquarters in Denmark. The main purpose of this rotation is for the graduate to gain an understanding of the DM Systems and Standards areas of responsibility and the governance of clinical trials via Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

The second rotation is planned for our Data Management office in Bangalore. This is the rotation where the graduate will gain further insight into Systems and Standards activities as well as gain additional international experience and perspectives. This will give the graduate a unique point of view that will prove invaluable to a global career at Novo Nordisk.

The third rotation could potentially take place in DM Process and Innovation, a part of DM Systems and Standards, or another department with strong ties to DM Systems and Standards in headquarters, Denmark. During this final rotation the graduate will work more independently and will be able to expand their network, as well as develop further insights into the importance of Data Management in our drug development processes.

  • A relevant master’s degree from 2019 or 2020, for example, life sciences, computer science, data science, or informatics, and above average academic achievements
  • International experience, for example from studying a full semester abroad, working or volunteering
  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies. Programming skills in SAS, SQL, R, or Python, or familiarity with data standards and their use a plus, but not required.
  • An international outlook and the ability to adapt quickly to change. Excellent communication skills, high motivation, and a curiosity to keep learning and growing, professionally and personally
  • Professional fluency in English and globally mobile
