Supporting development projects and the production
We are on a successful journey and are facing an exciting development with many new vaccines in the pipeline and the establishment of a new fill and finish facility in Kvistgaard. To support our development projects as well as the existing production we are looking for scientists who will be part of the expanding Process Development Lab team.

Join an international department
We are looking for 2 scientists to step into our Process Development lab, that currently consist of 13 employees. The department is responsible for development and optimization of vaccine production processes as well as method development.

The Process Development lab is organized in 3 teams where a coordinating scientist for each team is responsible for setting the direction. We are looking for a scientist for our Downstream team and for our Product Characterization team.

You will be working close together with colleagues across the different teams within the department and report to the Manager, Process Development Lab.

Exciting and complex scientific challenges
The Process Development Lab is faced with many and varied tasks. As a scientist in the team you need to be able to adapt quickly to new priorities while still being able to deliver on time. Your area of responsibility will include:

  • Solve complex scientific challenges and technical issues
  • Plan and design studies aimed at optimizing and characterizing downstream processes
  • Prepare project plans and keep timelines
  • Evaluation and reporting of data from lab studies
  • Participate in investigations and troubleshooting of production processes
  • Establish close collaboration with internal partners such as Production and the R&D teams at the Munich site

Influence and responsibility

  • Master in Biochemistry, Chemical Eng., Pharmacy or similar, preferably with a PhD
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience from the biotech industry or academia is a prerequisite in the scientist role we are looking to find for the Down stream group
  • Experience with manufacturing processes in biological production (It will be an advantage to have experience with TFF, Chromatography and/or different platforms for cell and virus propagation)
  • Knowledge of on-line monitoring of biological processes
  • Experience with statistical data analysis
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
