In the role as Global Service Support Engineer, you get the opportunity to represent Service in various project to ensure voice of customer is heard and understood by organization. Based in our headquarters in Odense, Denmark and reporting to the Head of Service Engineering, you become part of our Global Service team.

Provide expert technical support to our customers, partners and regional technical support teams
Your primary tasks will be to support, educate and train our regional technical support teams. Support will be handled through either email, telephone or on site, and so this role includes some travel activity. You support your colleagues when communication on issues and solutions of more complex nature with our products is needed, enabling top-quality service to partners and customers.

Your role will also include the following tasks:

  • Providing technical support to customers, partners and regional technical support teams and build a knowledge base for them
  • Acting as liaison between our R&D and frontline technical support
  • Building a global knowledge base, developing regional support team’s technical knowledge and abilities with regards to Universal Robots and applications
  • Participating in various development and optimization projects and customer visits
  • Developing guides for spare parts and on-site replacement, ensuring that our products have necessary documentation for on-site replacements
  • Reducing response time to customers and number of escalations from front end support to rest of organization because solutions were communicated

In this role, you will occasionally have direct exposure to our customers, and therefore excellent interpersonal skills are vital. You’re approachable, extrovert and pride yourself with providing a high standard of service and support to our customers, partners and colleagues.

A mind set for service and robots
To gain success in the job, it is important that you are outgoing and service-minded. You can commit at different organizational levels and in different correlations to solve problems.
You’re quality minded and understand the importance of procedures and registration.
To succeed, you need to have documented practical experience within automation and robot programming.

As the ideal candidate, you also have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering/Computer Science related subjects or other relevant technical education e.g. automation technician
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in robotics/automation industry or similar background
  • Experience with hands-on system integration is a plus, as well as having experience from working in a global organization

Your tasks require you to be organized and be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism. This role also calls for your ability to analyze problems in a logical manner, and initiate work without specific instruction.

As you will be working in an international environment, fluency in English is key for the role.
