Production Manager

We are looking for a new colleague to be part of the plant management team for the total of app. 125 employees who are all dedicated to optimize quality, service and cost within the FOSS supply chain.

Production Line Manager
As Production Line Manager you will set clear and challenging goals for your employees. Your focus is on leadership and daily operations to constantly improve quality, safety, delivery and cost together with your team. You are the driving force in securing alignment both inside your department and towards other functions. You build trust and promote great teamwork.

You will refer to the plant manager and be responsible for a production line counting app. 35 employees organized in smaller production teams assembling and testing instruments.

You will primarily work in FOSS Hillerød plant, but you also reach out to our plant in Suzhou China. You should expect 1-5 travel days per year.

Primary tasks
You will be responsible for running daily business and continuously improving operations. You lead, empower and develop your team coordinators, technicians and assembly workers. As FOSS manufactures complex products in low volumes, seasonal variation is common and adds to the challenge of managing capacity balancing agile delivery and LEAN manufacturing. In doing so you will be closely supported and challenged by our planning, excellence and quality team.

Planning sets the pace, and you deliver capacity, competencies and commitment to fulfil the plan. You effectively level the work and create continuous flow. You optimize efficiency, eliminate waste and ensure compliance to processes and standards.

You facilitate board meetings, learning and practical problem solving ensuring LEAN living.

We are looking for a leader driven by the desire to create results and succeed in collaboration with others.

You have experience with people management, and we expect you to be talented at creating high performing teams. Having worked on the shop floor with production management and a formal LEAN certification is considered an advantage.

You must have an interest in effective manufacturing of complex technical products, and you probably have a degree within operations management. Knowing SAP/ERP, ISO 9001, ESD and ATEX is an advantage since the plant is certified.

You are comfortable both speaking and writing Danish and English.
