For our Certification team within Business Area Wind we are looking for an Associate Certification Engineer.

Within our Offshore Engineering organization, Certification is the engineering discipline responsible to ensure that our windfarm assets comply with applicable standards throughout the product lifecycle. The Certification team is delivering project management services and certification standard and process knowledge directly towards product owners, project design leads and asset managers. When working within Certification you will ensure the Vattenfall offshore portfolio and products are planned, developed and operated certified according to state of the art industry and national standards.

Your responsibilities as Associate Certification Engineer:
As our colleague you will be responsible for a smooth certification process across the offshore wind farm assets together within our team of Certification Engineers. Additionally there will be opportunities to take on smaller certification projects within the Vattenfall product roadmaps.

The following tasks will be a central part of your new job:

  • Support the certification package manager in the execution of our offshore wind farms and be part of offshore wind project teams;
  • Administration of certification activities like management of documentation flow, audit and inspection planning and follow up on commercial aspects;
  • Coordination of technical clarifications and interfaces between stakeholders and project phases;
  • Analyze and support product development projects in certification aspects;
  • Interact with authorities, contractors and certification bodies;
  • Work alongside certification engineers across wind projects to harmonize way of working in field of certification and to utilization of best practice;
  • Eager to develop and use digital tools to increase efficiency and contribute to the improvement of procedures and tools in line with the BA Wind quality management system.

Your profile as an Associate Certification Engineer:
You have a positive mindset combined with the drive to deliver quality work with a pragmatic approach. You are a technical allrounder and open-minded team player with a structured way of working, capable of maintaining the helicopter perspective and be efficient in your communications. For you it comes natural to show initiative and add value by maturing and standardizing our work depending on projects and organizational needs. Further you possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate technical sensitive topics in a clear and constructive way both internally and to external partners.

The following experience and skills are required:

  • Degree in engineering or similar;
  • Relevant working experience in the wind industry or similar beneficial;
  • Knowledgeable about working with industry standards, guidelines and processes;
  • First experience in technical project management;
  • Motivated to work in a multi-national project teams and the ability to build up strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Fluent in English, Danish and/or German language skills preferred.

The location of the position is either Kolding or Hamburg, occasional travel within northern Europe should be expected.

In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further.
