The company UVD Robots was established in 2016 following a successful co-development project between Odense University Hospital and Blue Ocean Robotics creating the unique UV-Disinfection Robot. Our UV-C Robots provide efficient and automated disinfection solutions for hospitals and life science customers. Application of UV-C Robots in hospitals patient and operating rooms save patients’ lives by reducing Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI’s) and operational costs for hospitals.

We are pursuing an ambitious strategy for global expansion of UV Robot solutions based on direct sales to reference customers and volume sales by expansion of our network of distributors and sales partners in Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Americas. In early 2019 we established our company UVD Robots Ltd in United Kingdom and have recently established sales offices in America and Asia.

As Technical Support Engineer you will play a key-role in installations, client training and technically supporting our unique UV-C Disinfection Robots for our customers in the UK and Ireland.

Technical Support Engineer tasks:

  • Working with new and existing customers
  • Technical support by assessing clients’ needs and providing relevant solutions
  • Provide product handover training, give education, presentations and advice
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on project requirements
  • Assisting the sales team with customer enquiries providing pre-sales and post-sales support
  • Build relationships with the contract customer base
  • Identify opportunities for new business sales
  • Take ownership of enquiries to “see the job through”
  • Working with the Marketing team to increase brand awareness and exposure
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and client meetings
  • Attend product training events in the UK and possibly overseas
  • A minimum 2 years’ experience required

In this role, you will work from home initially and ideally be based in the North West and work on a National basis covering the UK and Ireland. You will be tasked with travelling to customer sites and securing new business opportunities and revenue streams for the company. Travel and nights away are expected as required. You will also manage current accounts and continually develop your technical knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have previous technical sales experience and will preferably have experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Technical Support Engineer Position Requirements:

  • Self-motivating, structured and productive with a good overview
  • You enjoy being with customers and will go that “extra mile” to secure the business
  • Mechanical knowledge with a good understanding of mechanical products
  • Track record of delivering client training
  • Good team working skills, outgoing and ambitious
  • Qualification in Engineering
  • Previous experience within a sales customer facing role preferred
  • Able to work both alone and as part of a multi-functional team
  • Ability to work to deadlines with flexible hours are essential
  • Willing to travel within the UK and Europe
  • Full UK driving licence
  • IT literate
