Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Do you want to support the supply chain organisation and manage the full value chain in the world’s leading jewellery company? And do you want to take a key role in the biggest finance transformation in Denmark? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job description & areas of responsibility:
As Finance Manager, you will be a core member of the Group Supply Chain Organisation and the Group Product and Operations Finance, an ambitious team responsible for the overall commercial business partnering with our Product and Merchandising teams as well as the finance business partnering with the entire supply chain. This includes our regional distribution centres and inventory owners across the world. Currently we manage DKK 3 billion in inventory across 100+ markets, with three regional distribution centres and central manufacturing facilities in Thailand. As we want to improve working capital and product availability, we need you to drive additional performance improvements in tandem with our Business Partners across the value chain.

In this senior role, you will be the financial anchor-point for ongoing inventory discussions, improvements and provision evolvement. Essentially, you will ensure that the business gains inventory and risk transparency in order to make the best possible commercial decisions – both from a revenue optimisation point-of-view as well as a cost avoidance point-of-view. You will control Group inventory and handle the ongoing associated inventory risks in a structured way through a series of S&OP meetings, to find the sweet spot between product availability and working capital optimisation.

You will forecast, plan and budget expected inventory performance from a Group perspective, while further building and controlling business cases to support further development of our inventory efficiency projects. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reporting on consolidated Group Inventories on a monthly and ad hoc basis, generating insights through commercial perspectives. In addition, you will:

  • Help minimise inventories of slow moving items and minimise costs of re-melting products
  • Advise our colleagues in the markets as well as in Group Supply Chain, including our Global Leadership team to make critical commercial decisions through appropriate analyses and insights
  • Develop a structured approach to inventory reporting
  • Be the finance business partner to the supply chain organisation to drive improvements
  • Oversee the return flow and ensure the re-melt process together with the Shared Service Centre in Poland

What is needed to succeed:
We imagine that you have strong financial acumen, and have previously worked in a role supporting and challenging accounting and reporting colleagues. It is a strong advantage if you have worked in large, global companies with multiple distribution centres and points of sale. Further to this, you have:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience from a finance role working with controlling and/or finance management within supply chain, operations, manufacturing, inventory controlling etc.
  • An understanding the links between the P&L, balance sheet movements, inventory movements and inventory risk assessment
  • Solid experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferably some knowledge of HP, HFM and BI tools
  • Worked with product costing in a worldwide production company: standard cost, landed cost, elimination of internal profit etc.

Your personal qualifications make a difference:
You possess a change mind-set and therefore thrive in a dynamic, changing environment, while at the same time having the ability to establish processes and standards where relevant. Communication is a forte of yours, and you are able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation regarding complex processes. You are curious to learn and eager to understand our business, you ask and challenge status quo while working proactively and independently. You enjoy being part of a team where cooperation is critical in order for the Pandora and the finance organisation to succeed.

Your new team:
Pandora is a company with a big heart that takes great pride in treating our people well. You will be part of an exciting business area and work in an international hub of can-do spirited, passionate and performance-driven people. We are a busy department of 8 people across multiple nationalities, who work closely together, help each other and appreciate an informal and humorous tone.
