The role is placed in Hellerup (Greater Copenhagen area) where 7 colleagues are working in similar roles supporting our vessels, this role and all the colleagues in the team are reporting to Vessel Group Manager (DK). Alongside our team in Hellerup we also have 10 colleagues in our Mumbai office enabling us to deliver best in class technical support to our vessels.

As a Vessel Manager in TORM your responsibilities will be:

  • Overall management and technical support to 5 assigned vessels
  • Maintain and enable that the vessels are in compliance with classification and flag documents
  • Responsible for budgets for the assigned vessels
  • Technical issues resolution for assigned vessels
  • Management of vessel maintenance ensuring optimal operational efficiency
  • Enabling and warranting that the vessels are tradable at all times
  • Act as custodian for ensuring that the vessels’ staff adhere to the company’s quality guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Act as ambassador for our performance leadership program on the assigned vessels
  • Promote and drive the One TORM Safety Culture

  • Marine Engineer educational background with excellent results
  • Marine background and professional experience as engineer onboard a tanker vessel is preferred but not mandatory
  • At least three years’ experience from a similar role
  • A team-oriented personality with intercultural understanding, international mindset and awareness
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Customer focus and ability to communicate easily with both technical and commercial staff
