The position

This is a permanent position with one main focus area of internal communication in Global Trial Management. As our new Senior Competency Development Professional, you are responsible for the strategy of how and what we communicate to the Global Trial Management organisation in Novo Nordisk ensuring fit-for-purpose and real-time communication. This involves interaction with our many stakeholders for input and dialogue including senior-level employees. Hence, you should be comfortable with actively reaching out when input is needed.

You will work with tools to facilitate knowledge collection, creating best-practises and international dialogue in Global Trial Management supported by modern technologies and digital possibilities. This may involve applying social media or other digital options into our communication toolbox.

Furthermore, you will work closely with the Training manager supporting the Trial Management training strategy, planning and execution with focus on up-to-date way of preparation and conduct.

In both communication and training, the focus should always be on agility, simplicity, lean processes, to-the-point and fit-for-purpose.

This position is newly established and hence will provide plenty of opportunities for you to create and elevate your job together with the senior director and stakeholders.

About the department

The position is based in the Trial Management Anchor within the Trial Operations Centre of Expertise. We are a team of 14 dedicated colleagues with a shared interest in optimisation and competency building within trial management. We develop and maintain the framework and processes related to the work of trial management globally and Trial Squads in the drug development projects.


  • You have the know-how on how to operate on digital platforms and are in touch with what the end-users want
  • You have insights into web-based/IT-based communication possibilities and are IT savvy
  • Excellent communication skills in writing, verbally and online, are essential, as well as an understanding of how to best get messages across
  • You are proficient in English
  • Pharma experience is preferred but not a requirement
  • You are structured, can work independently and generate and execute on ideas
  • You could come from a background in communication, tech, or working with digital solutions.
  • You are self-driven, proactive, engaged, creative, with a can-do attitude moreover will thrive in a team, yet being able to take action and responsibility on your own.
  • You can easily network and work seamlessly with people from other skill types and cultures and a customer-centered focus is a must.
