Taking Project Excellence and Portfolio Management to the next level…

We are looking for a Leader by nature who wants to develop our Project execution excellence and take our Project Portfolio Management capabilities to the next level. The IT Projects and Portfolio Management function is connected to all initiatives, projects and programs executed by, or with participation of, Global IT resources. Together with a team of dedicated and experienced project managers you will ensure the efficient execution of our portfolio of projects and the realization of the underlying business value for Demant as well as for our customers.

You will be working with projects and stakeholders across all Business Units and functions in Demant, using your business acumen to understand Business needs and Regulatory Compliance – and how that translates into IT Priorities and Projects. This will allow you to build a deep insight into the aspects of hearing healthcare. The Manager of IT Projects & Portfolio Management will be reporting to the Vice President of Strategy & Portfolio Management.

Being part of a Global Team

You will be joining the Demant Global IT Organization with 250+ colleagues across the globe and with main hubs in Denmark, Poland, US and Asia Pacific region. We work with a global mindset and collaborate at all organizational and functional levels – making sure we can accommodate both global and regional business priorities.

Our new Manager of IT Projects & Portfolio Management will lead and motivate a team of 9 project leaders – 8 located in Denmark and 1 in Poland. The execution of individual Projects takes place through our IT Delivery organization.

Your main Responsibilities

As our Manager of IT Projects & Portfolio Management, you will have 3 primary areas of focus:

  • Solid Project Portfolio Management: Ensuring a continuous overview and status of our portfolio of projects from idea to implementation. Establishing and facilitating the supporting governance processes. Establishing line of sight from project and portfolio priority to business impact and value.
  • Project Delivery Excellence: Establish the proper set of processes, methods, standards and tools to support consistent Excellence in Project execution. Balancing simplicity and speed with the need to do things right, Focusing on Ease of use and “customer experience” for all involved in IT project execution. This includes close collaboration with other areas in Demant, e.g. R&D, Operations and Sales & Marketing.
  • World Class Project Manager capabilities: Develop and grow the skills and competencies of your team of Project managers. Facilitate global PM Communities of practice to ensure strong global collaboration, knowledge sharing and alignment.We expect you to have:
  • You are motivated by delivering excellent results on a personal and team level, while keeping a firm focus on business value realization. You are comfortable working across organizational and leadership boundaries and take pride in balancing short- and long-term business priorities. You have a relevant education and 5+ years of experience managing IT projects or Programs. You have a strong record as leader of experienced professionals and hands-on experience on Portfolio Management and Governance in a complex global setup.

    Your Profile

    In your role you will be part of the Strategy & Portfolio Management Leadership team and thus be a key player and contributor to the overall agenda of the Demant Global IT organization.
