Would designing and developing high-end automation/software for LEGO® equipment and machines be the job of dreams to you?
Then bring your automation expertise for an excellent opportunity to build link between classic automation (OT) and shop floor IT.

Core Responsibilities
Provides technical guidance for automation (and IT architecture) in development and design of automation/software for equipment and machines - in close collaboration with suppliers and mechanical designers.
• Ensure robust and best in class control systems in line with LEGO® standards for inhouse developed as well as 3rd party machines for the LEGO® production environment
• Design of e.g PLC-based software, robotics, vision and advanced sensor technology solutions in order to deliver novelties to our business
• Follows project management rules, relevant norms, directives and EHS / safety requirements
• Support collaboration development of cross functional team
• Provide IT knowledge to ensure state of the art architecture for a digital future

Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate has an electrical engineer/technical background and at least 4+ years work experience within automation – preferable in a global environment. In addition, you have:
• Experience with development, design and PLC-programming of Allen Bradley controllers using Studio 5000 software environment and or B&R Automation Studio
• Experience in Ethernet/IP and/or OPC UA
• Hands on experience in functional safety – using safety controllers
• Knowledge about new technologies and innovative consumer trends
• Able to read and write equipment design requirements (e.g. LEGO Technical Specification)
• Ability to read/understand electrical drawings

As a person you are a great teammate and you understand and thrive in multi cultural environment. You have the ability to see opportunities instead problems and enjoy tackling new challenges. You have immediate English skills – both oral and written and you are able to travel 30-40 days / year. Furthermore, it will be beneficial if you have experience with:
• DevOps principles like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• APIs (ReST, OData) and Message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, …)
