The role
We are seeking a technology-driven sales professional who can manage and develop key markets for our VTS department, in charge of Shaker in France.

You will join a highly motivated, French sales team with great opportunity for influencing and developing the French market. The role will be based at Mennecy. With an experienced Sales engineer, you will be responsible for VTS’s business in France.

This role is opened to a newly graduated in Vibration or in Physical measurement even if some years of professional experience would be appreciated. If the candidate have not yet a Business background, a strong interest for business is crucial

Primary responsibilities
As a Sales Engineer, your main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Identifying, managing and developing in assigned territory
  • Managing opportunity funnel (pipelines) via close customer interaction and CRM
  • Promoting products and solutions to the market
  • Communicating and interacting with customers, partners and other HBK departments
  • Ensuring that sales targets and forecasts are achieved
  • Preparing and following up on quotations and opportunities

Short term, you will be in charge of being The VTS’s interface between Sales team, Sales administration, Support including:

  • Follow-up of orders, deliveries… with factory
  • Check customer’s requests,
  • Answer to the customer’s requests in 48 H
  • Analyze customer’s specs then qualify them, correctly
  • Prepare technical & financial offer.

At mid term, this Sales Engineer position can possibly be developed into a Field Sales Engineer role. So the roles requires travel availability and a driver license.

Professional qualifications

  • A technical degree in Vibration or "Physical measurement" combined with a strong technical understanding and interest
  • A sales experience, even short, or a strong skill for Sales from high complexity markets
  • Fluency in French and a good communication level in English
  • Ability to learn and apply existing knowledge in:
  • Acoustic and vibration solutions and applications
  • Customer management, challenges and expectations
  • Strategic selling methods (benefits/values)

Personal skills

  • Ambitious and driven mind-set
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-discipline and international teams adapting to changing business environments
  • Good commercial understanding
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT knowledge (Word, Excel®, PowerPoint®, CRM)
  • Experience in working remotely is a plus
  • Positive attitude towards challenges and difficulties
  • Willing and able to travel for customer visits on a weekly basis
