Do you want to be part of the permitting team for an offshore wind energy project on the US East Coast?

Join us and become an Environmental Manager within the US Permitting team on the Ocean Wind Project in New Jersey where you’ll play a key role in the development of our offshore wind projects on the US East Coast. You’ll be involved in a range of environmental, permitting and scientific topics to support both permitting and construction.

We offer exciting opportunities to work with colleagues in the United States and Europe, specialist consultants, and in consultation with regulatory authorities and stakeholders. You’ll be working as part of a team with a diverse background who thrive in an international environment, create good relationships with stakeholders and have high integrity.

Your key tasks will be to

  • plan for and coordinate efficient environmental and regulatory review and permitting of projects, including preparing applications to agencies and regulator entities and managing projects by preparing and managing schedules and budgets
  • obtain necessary approvals for site investigation surveys and planning for surveys to comply with regulatory requirements in the offshore environment
  • coordinate the development of permit drawings and environmental compliance plans with engineering, construction, and execution teams internally
  • establish and maintain positive relationships with agency personnel and other key internal and external stakeholders
  • manage or support management of external consultants undertaking surveys and studies to support the permitting processes.

Your competences include that you

  • have, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree within a relevant field, e.g. environmental policy, marine biology, marine affairs, law, or another related discipline
  • have in-depth knowledge of US regulations and policies as well as of relationships with decision-makers, policy-makers, and state/federal authorities
  • have excellent technical writing skills and stakeholder management abilities
  • are a trustworthy and impactful communicator with the ability to maintain detailed dialogue, as well as the ability to address large groups and disseminate the bigger picture when required
  • have demonstrated project planning and implementation skills which you’re able to deliver in a rapidly changing environment.
