With direct reference and close collaboration with our Group Finance Director, you will be an important contributor to our group reporting, affecting our entire business, as well as be a key player in advancing our group reporting tool and implementing new future reporting tools, including continuous upgrade of our ERP system.

Bavarian Nordic has recently acquired two vaccines from GlaxoSmithKline. This is a major investment that will totally transform our company. In 2020 we will be working hard on integrating those new vaccines both when it comes to production, sale, controlling and financial reporting. This means a lot of exiting tasks within group finance and in this role.

Close to executive management

Stepping into Group Finance, you join a finance group of 19 accountants and controllers organized in different teams and different countries. You, as Group Controller, will be situated in our new headquarter in Hellerup. Both the main part of the finance department and all the management support functions including executive management is also situated here.

Ensure correct group reporting and help establish new processes

With the integration of the two new vaccines in Bavarian Nordic comes many exiting tasks for our new Group Controller e.g.

  • Adaption of internal and external reporting (Kepion)
  • Adaption of current group reporting and budgeting tool, including our ERP system
  • Implementation of new IT systems (BI tool)
  • Integration of sales and inventory data from external distributors
  • Decide on transfer pricing setup and establish transfer pricing processes

You will play an essential role in the above tasks.

Besides working with the integration your primary tasks will be:

  • Prepare the IFRS annual report, including accounting memos for significant account items
  • Ensure compliance with new IFRS standards
  • Prepare quarterly interim financial reports to Nasdaq OMX
  • Prepare the monthly management reports in collaboration with the business controlling team
  • Prepare balance sheet and cashflow budgets during budget and estimate rounds
  • Prepare tax returns and joint taxation for Danish group entities
  • Maintain and develop our current group reporting and budgeting tool, including update of input and review templates for budget and estimate rounds
  • Maintain and develop our reporting templates (excel cubes)
  • Assess the requirement to a new BI tool in collaboration with IT and other finance teams
  • Establish and implement transfer pricing processes for the acquired vaccines that will be sold worldwide

Solid controlling experience with listed companies

  • You hold a cand.merc.aud. or similar
  • You have solid experience with IFRS and listed companies either from being an auditor by one of the Big Four or from a group accounting function in a listed company
  • You are a skilled user of Excel, smoothly producing pivot tables and applying add-ons
  • You speak and write Danish and English fluently

As a person, you are constructive and solution oriented. You can work independently and drive own areas of responsibilities. In periods with a more intense workload you are willing to work the extra hours that it takes. Given our very dynamic environment you are also a person that is receptive to change.
