Campaign and Project Lead for Employer Branding (2 year temporary position)

About the department

As our new Campaign & Project Lead, you will join the Employer Brand Activation & Onboarding team consisting of 6 dedicated and passionate employees. All from a range of professional backgrounds (HR, Communication, Marketing, IT & Data Science), we use our differences to create and develop innovative approaches and high-quality solutions to attract the best talents to Novo Nordisk.

Serving as a Centre of Excellence, our main objective is to position Novo Nordisk as a preferred employer and thus, help business areas across Novo Nordisk globally to find and attract critical and best-in-class talent. However, in an increasingly crowded job market, attracting the best people to the role can be a real challenge. That’s why we are on a quest to bring authenticity and real employee experience to the forefront of our company’s employer branding strategy.

Last year we revamped our employer value proposition ‘life-changing careers’ and we are now very busy deepening and widening the impact to build more brand ambassadors and allow Novo Nordisk globally to be more strategic in our employer branding. The effort is tightly linked to the overarching and ongoing talent acquisition transformation intended to professionalise how we engage, attract and recruit talent. With our new revamped employer value proposition, we are actively pursuing a switch from telling to exemplifying - in which we aim to bring employees on as co-creators in our communication to demonstrate the value of working for Novo Nordisk. This is an exciting journey that will provide broad exposure across Novo Nordisk globally.

As a result of our developments, we experience a growing need for creating more compelling content and delivering an increasing amount of targeted campaigns that truly set Novo Nordisk apart. This sometimes requires us to move fast, getting hands on and applying our employer branding skills sort of as an in-house agency. This dynamic enables us to stay on top of our game and remain a challenger when bringing in externals to support us – but also require each of us to both be strategic while often being professionally rooted in a certain discipline i.e. project management, copywriting, SoMe management, data science etc. Scalability is a key challenge of ours, as the demand for our involvement increases, which is also fuelling our urge to further professionalise our campaign and project management capabilities.

Right now the team is buzzing, as we have many exciting incoming campaigns and projects, so there has never been a more exciting time to join our award-winning team!

The position
Working very closely with the Head of Employer Brand Activation and the rest of the team (community manager, employer brand lead, campaign & content lead etc.), you will be responsible for coordinating key employer branding projects. This includes planning and coordination of key digital content creation and strategic campaigns, in support of prioritised global talent marketing projects.

In this role, you will work with various stakeholders – in our headquarters, at agencies and in our global organisation – to plan and execute employer branding campaigns, in support of talent attraction and retention for line of business. Once the campaign content is ready, you will ensure content activation through social media and other relevant channels to ensure that the content reaches the right audience at the appropriate touchpoints.

Together with different line of business units, you will capture business objectives, turning them into clear talent marketing KPIs, which you’ll use to track and report the success of your campaigns.

In this role, you will have a lot of freedom to flex both your project management and creative muscles within employer branding, all while being part of a passionate and diverse team. The days are very dynamic and you will be asked to keep track of several projects and key initiatives at the same time, alongside colleagues with the complementary skills to strengthen your efforts.

The temporary 2-year position is based in Bagsværd north of Copenhagen in Denmark


You are a strong and experienced project manager and have 5+ years of experience with strategic content creation and/or media planning and executing multi-market campaigns – either in-house or as a part of an advertising or communications agency. You have a flair for creating campaign strategies and project plans working with many stakeholders including external vendors. Excellent communication skills, as well as an impeccable command of the English language is required. Significant practical project management experience and the ability to deliver while managing global stakeholders will be highly advantageous for this position.

You hold a bachelor’s degree – or higher – preferably within marketing, communications, journalism, advertising or similar.

You thrive independently but have strong interpersonal skills that help you build meaningful relationships with stakeholders, all within a global business environment.
