Cloetta has a strong heritage with focus on sales and trade marketing activities on a local scale with a global organisation driving innovation and supporting the local activities. The Group is now driving a shift to become more brand marketing and consumer oriented on both local and global scale, driving long term growth and working more structured with brand marketing in a matrix set up. Therefore, we are now looking for a Senior Brand Manager with top brand and marketing skills with a strong customer/consumer focus to the Swedish marketing organisation.

Job description
As a Senior Brand Manager, you will be responsible for brand marketing, for product and activation management within Marketing; for one or several brands in a category. You will be assuring it is developed in line with corporate business goal and purpose and you will ensure that the branded base portfolio is always at the forefront. Furthur you will work to identify the best new concepts and new products as well as securing the optimal communication in line with the brand's positioning and brand equity. Key aspects of the job include creating brand guidelines and making sure that employees follow them.

Areas of responsibility

  • In alignment with central marketing, overall responsible for local brand strategy and platform, content and media strategy.
  • Develop long term (3-5 years) strategic brand plan covering both base, disruptive initiative and innovations. Collect insights to understand consumer needs and behaviors to drive the market share and category growth. Ensuring activation plan, media plan, product plan is aligned with brand and category vision. Align with stake holders.
  • Securing strategic brand plan is transferred into a tactical plan (1-1 ½ year/s). Align with stake holders.
  • Follow, identify and suggest solutions to develop brands and category performance and brand health according to targets. From overall category level to product level. It also includes closely follow new launches and/or driving base and understanding competitors’ activities on the market.
  • Invite and drive relevant meetings to continuously align the plan with stake holders. Securing and maintaining a holistic view of Sweden’s and central’s best interests.
  • Manage and follow up working and non-working A&P spend. Closely follow bought media spend and monitor media mix and challenge creative agencies and media agency.

The Senior Brand Manager reports to the Marketing Director Sweden and the role is based in Malmö.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • University degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within FMCG
  • Work experience within an international environment
  • Experience of long-term branding and working with media, advertising and design agencies
  • Swedish and English language in speech and writing


  • Combination of global/international and local working experience
  • Experience within food and/or confectionery

To be successful in the role as Senior Brand Manager you are a strong marketeer with several years of experience in a similar position with Brand Marketing preferably from both central and local responsibilities within FMCG. You have experience from large international companies with a strong skillset to drive brands based on consumer insights. You have knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts.

As a person you are an excellent communicator. You have strong analytical skills and an instinctive feeling about future product concepts. You are passionate by Cloettas products and have good social and relationship skills and thrive in a roll where you work with a wide range of people from different parts of the business.
