Do you have a passion for mechanical design and automation of machinery? And would you like to be responsible for our Product portfolio in the Technology Center (TECH) here in Søborg-Denmark. You will have dedicated product responsibility and act as product owner for specific Products where automation systems are part of the product ownership. You will also be a key player on development and improvement projects. Then join GEA and get 17.500 new colleagues in more than 50 countries. A product life cycle approach is essential when we design our products. Industry 4.0 mindset, with digitalization, system integration and configuration is part of this approach. International project environment You will be based in Copenhagen-Soeborg and join the Technology Center (TECH) - Product Engineering. Here, you will collaborate with skilled coworkers all excited to meet you. You will become part of a very international work environment which also means that you will be traveling up to 30 days per year.

Your responsibilities and tasks:
Help, maintain and develop our portfolio of products.

You have knowledge and experience of making mechanical design, knowledge of electronic processes for local control systems, perhaps also PLC design and documentation of same, you will be involved in development of new products, but also improvement and troubleshooting of existing products. Your specific responsibilities will be:

Product responsibility

  • Be responsible for Mechanical design, development and maintenance of a product.
  • Be responsible for updating of local product control units takes place.
  • Introducing automation to improve existing products and processes.
  • Participate in Applying advanced control systems, which are computer-driven.
  • Study the feasibility, cost implications and performance benefits of new mechatronic equipment.
  • Keeping Product documentation up to date.
  • Be responsible for executing of project specific order documentation.
  • Support to sales and service departments when needed.

Your profile and qualifications:
Technical and behaviors competences & fields of responsibility

As a person, you enjoy working with others and you have excellent communication, collaboration and networking skills. You are self-motivated and understand the importance of running projects and meeting deadlines

  • You have an education as Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineer or similar background.
  • You have experience with mechanical design tools, preferable Inventor, also knowledge of parametric construction and iLogic would be advantage.
  • It would be good if you also know about PAX / Bluestar system.
  • Manage technology engineering systems for the automation of products in Product Engineering.
  • You are a team player. Team work is a key factor for success
  • Participation in teams during development and improvement of new products

Educational level: The candidate should hold a B.Sc. or equal education, or experience within Mechanical/Mechatronic engineering.
