Do you want to help distribute LEGO products to kids around the world?
We are looking for our next colleague to support us within transport and logistics. If you can balance many different stakeholders and execute their transport needs, you might be the right person.

Core Responsibilities
The shipping department in Billund supports the entire site (production and head office departments) with all sorts of transport and logistic questions and activities. Your primary role is to ensure a smooth coordination of the transports in and out of Billund having a close collaboration with both internal as well as external partners – both in Denmark and abroad.

The LEGO Group has shipping departments in all factory sites around the world why you will have a broad interface with colleagues outside Denmark.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
• Book and run shipments coming in and out of Billund
• Create and take responsibility for both import clearances and export clearances.
• Follow up on existing shipments and make sure internal customers and colleagues are updated
• Support colleagues with questions related to transport & customs
• Create documents in relevant IT systems (SAP, Danish customs system, transport supplier systems etc.)
• Engage with external partners & forwarders to drive continuous improvements
• Limited travel activity should be expected

The Shipping Department is located in Billund and is a department of 4 people. It is one out of 5 shipping departments located in 5 different factories across the world.

The site in Billund is both a production plant where we produce the LEGO Brick but also several administrative areas. We support all of them with transport of all types of items – from a single letter to multiple truck loads, airfreight and ocean transport.

Do you have what it takes?
Your background could be from a forwarding company or from an import & export company where you are used to work with different kind of transport modes and also used to manage the expectations from many internal partners.

We do, however, expect the following:
• 3-7 years of shipping experience from the forwarding industry or a larger import/export company
• Solid knowledge about different transport modes, customs requirements and legislations
• Basic skills in Excel, Word and other standard programs
• Some experience with Danish customs import and export systems
• Understanding and experience working with an ERP system OR SAP in general will be an advantage

You are motivated by working with all kinds of transport. As a person you are independent, self driven and you have good collaboration skills – both when it comes to partners in the LEGO group and inside our small team. In addition, we hope you can relate to the following personality:
• Service minded
• Strong communication skills – both oral, written and danish/ english
• A GO DO mentality – problems are to be solved
• You take pride in doing the best you can
• A great sense of humor and high energy
