About the department

In Novo Nordisks’ purification plants, we clean up the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) that are the backbone of many of our quality products. We receive the raw API in large quantities from our colleagues here in Kalundborg and deliver the purified product to formulation and filling lines, where the products are made consumable and ready for distribution to more than 170 countries. In other words, a lot of people living with chronical diseases rely on us doing a great job every day – not just now, but also in the future.

You will be part of a cross-functional support team responsible for supply chain management and -finance in a highly engaged organisation of 600 colleagues in total. In the Supply Chain and Finance team, you will be welcomed by about 20 colleagues working within logistics, finance and procurement, looking forward to sharing their knowledge with you and to learn from you as well. We have all sorts of backgrounds here – from technicians to academics - so no matter your own, you will probably quickly feel at home here. As our new Supply Chain Partner, we will be sharing the responsibility for the smooth and stabile operation of our four production lines. It will remain our collective focus to ensure that everything runs according to schedule and plans, and that we obtain the highest possible output without compromising full compliance with our scrutinous safety standards.

The job

You will be part of the logistics group that ensures a financially viable, stable and efficient supply chain for our production lines. Your main responsibilities will be supply planning and management support on capacity utilisation in campaign-based multi-product facilities.

Your main tasks will be to ensure production schedules according to product demand and inventory policies, develop supply strategies in cooperation with production management, raw material forecasting, production performance reporting, support to finance and warehousing on issues from master data to transport management.

The position will be highly visible both horizontally and vertically in the organisation, and you will be handed ample opportunities for both professional and personal development when you ensure good data in your collaboration with the lines, handle the many stakeholders with different concerns and perspectives or contribute to managerial decision making with your insightful reporting.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has an academic background within Supply Chain Management or Production Engineering and minimum five years of relevant experience after graduation. You should possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent data management skills and outstanding communication skills.

You are a capable user of ERP-systems (SAP), data modelling tools and you master the MS Office suite. You engage yourself in your work and your colleagues, you deliver valid data information, and above all you are customer oriented.

Effective stakeholder management skills at different organisational levels and across a complex organisation are a prerequisite. The level of your analytical potential allows you to successfully prepare high quality decision-making materials outlining the pros/cons of different scenarios or options and provide value to all levels of the organisation through your insightful understanding of our processes, value chain and supply lines.

As a person you are proactive, systematic and solution-oriented, which you show through your daily activities, where we expect you to make a difference - even when we are busy. You are outgoing and have a natural talent for cooperation and communication across organizational and professional distances. You never compromise on safety, and you always drive and deliver your results in a timely fashion.

Fluency in English and Danish, verbally as well as in writing, is a requirement for this position.
