Finance Assistant, UK (part-time, temporary position)

Country specific financial support to one of the leading consultancies within the renewable industry

Do you want to work with finance support in the wind and solar industry? We are now looking for a Finance Assistant with profound, professional experience to join our team. You will be based at our office in Glasgow and report to our Finance Manager, UK. In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to be close to the UK business, and as you will be responsible for a number of registrations, you will play a key role ensuring that we deliver high quality in reporting, both internal and external.

Your areas of responsibility will include:

  • Liaise with Project Manager and Finance Manager to create Sales Invoices for issue to Client – Working to Business KPI
  • Regular Credit Control for the UK ensuring Sales Invoices are paid when due
  • Assist Finance Manager with Monthly Close Process
  • Upload, checking and coding of creditor vouchers
  • Checking and processing of staff private expenses
  • Checking and processing of company credit card transactions
  • Review creditor ledger twice monthly to advise FM of payments due
  • Ensure ledgers are tidy with all allocations complete
  • Maintain Services Cost Summary for Glasgow & Bristol Office
  • Assist Finance Manager with variety of other general finance and admin tasks as and when required

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • Relevant educational background combined with professional experience in a similar position, preferably from a global company
  • Profound knowledge of all practical aspects of accounting (e.g. transactions, reconciliations, invoicing, travel expenses)
  • Experienced user of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
  • HNC/HND Educated with at least two years´ experience in a Finance Department
  • Excellent numerical and excel skills

You have a structured and analytical approach to your job while at the same time keeping the overview. You are cooperative and service-minded, always keeping in mind what is best for the company.
