The Role
As a critical member of our leadership team and reporting to the CEO, the Strategic Sales Director will be responsible for setting and executing the global sales strategy for Hansen.

The role coordinates strategic planning activities with key stakeholders, and relevant cross-functional departments (e.g. marketing) in order to align efforts, avoid conflict of interests, and guarantee the success of sales efforts. Constant review and analyses of key sales trends and target customer feedback will be at the forefront in ensuring the company remains on track for growth.

In addition, this role will be responsible for:

  • Developing a strategy and sales plan to address the designated regions
  • Researching and communicating current industry trends, drivers and potential for future growth or opportunities in the Pay TV, Utilities and Telco Markets
  • Building a solid internal and external network to promote Hansen and its products
  • Heading up the Bid Office, collaborating with regional sales presidents to structure, model and ultimately approve bids as part of the Hansen bid approval committee
  • Developing business contacts and maintaining successful client relationships
  • Working collaboratively with the account managers to map markets in the regions and identify “whitespace” to focus client growth strategies
  • Maintaining an understanding of Hansen’s strategic direction and interpreting its relevance to the territory / industry
  • Maintaining an awareness of Hansen’s Pay TV, Utilities' and Telco current and future products and services strategies

About you
It goes without saying that you are a strong relationship builder who enjoys getting on the front foot, embedding yourself in the business and creating opportunities for Hansen to grow. Your strategic capability in balancing commercial outcomes and customer needs coupled with strong business acumen is unmatched as you continuously demonstrate deep interest in, and understanding of, business drivers and levers.

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in either a business or technology discipline and MBA qualified (ideal).
  • Solid international sales management experience in Energy or Telecommunications BSS/OSS Cloud and Enterprise Solutions is preferable - Please highlight details in your application.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organisation.
  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts.
  • International travel will be required.

This role can be based out of our London, New York or Melbourne Australia office.
