Student employees for process optimization, reporting and digitization projects

Red Barnet

Do you want a key role in creating a better and smarter Red Barnet/Save the Children Denmark? Are you passionate about improving work processes through optimization, digitization and better reporting? If you also thrive having a steep learning curve and plenty of responsibility for your own work – then Red Barnet is looking for two new student employees to help realize our vision of a better world for children – in Denmark and in the rest of the world.

THE WORK

You will be part of the Financial Support Team which consists of 5 non-technical student employees who all develop and implement optimization projects within the Finance department of Red Barnet.

The team also supports the rest of the house with strategic reporting on employee data and on strategy KPIs. We work as an internal consultancy in turning problems and ineffective processes into digital and reporting based solutions. We work closely with our colleagues to scope, design, develop and operate new reports and automation solutions. The projects that we work on have an average time span of two months and all projects are prioritized by the Finance Leadership Team.

We take pride in developing solutions that fit human problems and to not get overly caught up in technical solutions. This also means that we take time to do training, get feedback, implement adaptions and document what we do.

In busy periods we also assist our Finance colleagues with ad-hoc tasks.

YOUR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL PROFILE

You have at least two years remaining of your studies at a Danish university. You may be studying economics, IT, cand.merc., data science, sociology or similar lines of study – although this is not a requirement.

We primarily require colleagues with flair for and interest in technology, processes and numbers. You also need to be comfortable experimenting and seeking out information for yourself. Furthermore, it is important that you thrive with a steep learning curve and with doing self-paced research and trial-and-error-based work.

Experience with the following tools is a plus but not a requirement: Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate (previously Flow), Sharepoint, Excel.

So, if you are ready to…

  • Fight for the children of the world.
  • Really learn something about people, data and technology.
  • Take on substantial responsibilities in your student work.
  • Work in a fun young team.
  • Try new challenges and really make a difference

Then we want YOU on our team!

TERMS AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS

You will be employed according to the terms and conditions of the local Collective Agreement between Red Barnet and the relevant unions. The weekly work time in the position is 15 hours. We are hiring for two open student positions.

The application deadline is August 9. 2020. We expect to hold the first interview round on August 18 and the second round on August 20.

Please note that we do not accept applications outside of our recruitment system.

Danish and English speaking applicants are welcome.
