Intranet Assistant for Internal Communications Team (part time student job)

GEA Process Engineering

GEA is one of the largest suppliers for the food and beverage processing industry and a wide range of other process industries. Approximately 18,000 employees in more than 50 countries contribute significantly to GEA’s success – come and join them! We offer interesting and challenging tasks, a positive working environment in international teams and opportunities for personal development and growth in a global company.

Your responsibilities and tasks:
Are you our new intranet assistant?

Are you a student at university or business school with a talent for IT and designing intranet campaigns? Do you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English? Could you see yourself in a role where collaborating with colleagues spread around the globe is part of the daily routine? And do you have at least two years of your studies left?

If yes, you could be the new intranet assistant we’re looking for. Global engineering company and technology supplier GEA has an open position for the right candidate to take on the role as intranet assistant in the Global Internal Communications Team. Your workplace will be at our office in Soeborg, Denmark, but since GEA has more than 18,000 employees worldwide, you will be working with colleagues from all over the world.

GEA’s intranet is one of our most important internal communication channels and one of the core tasks of our new intranet assistant will be to make sure our users have an up-to-date and well-functioning platform.

You will also help the team provide end-user and super-user support, test solution upgrades as well as carry out content updates and other routine tasks.

Depending on your skills and interests, you will be part of larger projects related to the further development of our intranet to the extent that your studies allow it.

It’s an advantage if you’re already familiar with SharePoint but as training will be provided, it’s not a must. However, you must be passionate about online communications, and we expect that you’re a skilled communicator with a great attention to detail. Moreover, IT must be one of your strong suits. You’re also self-driven, service minded and responsible.

We expect you to work at our office in Soeborg two days (10-15 hours) per week. We offer flexible working conditions where you’ll plan your own work schedule in cooperation with our other student workers. Your study and exams will of course be taken into consideration.

Your profile and qualifications:
Primary tasks:

  • End-user and super-user support
  • Intranet search optimization/maintenance
  • Testing of solution upgrades
  • Content updates
  • Intranet statistics
  • Design of intranet campaigns
  • Office 365, Yammer, Teams, Workflows & Stream support
  • Assisting the Internal Communications Team with ad hoc tasks

Candidate profile:

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working with colleagues spread around the globe
  • Basic photo editing is part of your skill set
  • Responsible, self-driven and service minded
  • Experience with SharePoint will be considered a plus
  • Experienced MS Office user
  • Good sense of humor

We offer the right candidate an exciting and challenging role in an international team that works strategically to develop clear, concise and engaging content for a global organization with more than 18,000 employees worldwide. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
