Quality Assurance Team Leader to Compliance Assurance and Testing (2nd Line) For Quality Assurance, Group Compliance

Keen on writing a new chapter with us? We are evolving our Compliance set-up with a new Reporting & MI team and we need you to take the lead in setting up the team.

You will be part of and help establishing The Reporting & MI Team. The new team is a part of the Group Compliance organisation and sits within the Chief Operating Office.

The team will be responsible for developing a risk based annual testing programme for Compliance and independently assessing systems and controls designed and operated by the Compliance function. This entails delivering timely and insightful reporting from the second line of defence testing programme back to the Chief Compliance Officer, detailing gaps in design and operational effectiveness.

You and the team will be working closely with the other risk assessment and testing teams as well as, working with Group Audit to present accurate and timely reporting related to the Group Compliance’s current state against audit findings.

You, will be managing the day-to-day activities and support the team in reaching our objectives for improving our customers experience and make the QA process as efficient as possible. This requires excellent team effort working with the right set-up and having set the standards for materials produced as well as liaising with key stakeholders.

We have a lot to do and a great journey to embark on. Besides managing the team, some of your tasks will be to:

  • Take the lead in the determination of the assurance review plan to ensure the business is focused on key risk areas and can drive meaningful improvements
  • Lead the consultation with stakeholders across Group Compliance to ensure reviews are appropriately focused on the key areas
  • Lead dialogues and walkthroughs with business stakeholders to assess current state processes and controls
  • Identify innovative testing techniques as well as summarise key observations and improvements for consideration by management
  • Prepare assurance reports summarising key observations and risks,
  • Identify ways to make reports meaningful to our stakeholders through the use of visualisation, data analysis and driving business improvement

In this role, you will get to develop a sound understanding of the Group’s operations and business model and, you will get a solid network in the bank and be part of an exciting journey in Group Compliance, where your input is needed.

Inspiring leadership skills and ready to lead in turbulent water
Embarking on this journey requires you to lead in turbulent times as not all frameworks are defined for this team nor in all areas of Group compliance and not all key collaborations across with stakeholders are build. We need you to bring a mind-set of fostering knowledge sharing for creating expertise and engagement and collaborating for fostering a strong team cooperation and collaborating with stakeholders as well as inspiration for ambitions and value creating.

Your background:

  • Auditor or risk and controls professional with 8+ years core assurance and testing skills
  • Experience managing a team and preferably experience from setting up new functions
  • Have a very profound knowledge of Compliance and the all lines of defense
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written

This role requires you to be a strong communicator with good verbal reasoning skills and the ability to find solutions. It requires you to be a confident and inspiring leader.
