About the department
OFP is organizationally placed in Product Supply, which globally address 14,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 44,000 employees. In OFP we are approximately 550 dedicated employees in Maaloev and the area is still growing. For the future we have many ambitions and we are working hard to get our new product on the market. Together we will succeed and still strive being at the forefront of the development of technology, systems and processes etc.

Oral Finished Products QC (OFP QC) employs approximately 80 highly skilled and motivated employees with various educational backgrounds. Our department is growing and will continue this journey during 2020 and hence, we are in an ongoing process of setting up and impacting working procedures. In our team, we deliver analytical support to oral protein products. After launch, we continue to support the production of oral finished products, as well as we play a key role in the preparation for new oral products, giving analytical support to our manufacturing development.

In OFP we make a huge effort for you as a new employee to be off to a good start. During the first few days you will spend some time with other new employees, where you will go through an exciting introducing plan together. The area manager will welcome you, and a colleague will act as a mentor and go through your individual training plan. We know how important it is, and we are looking forward to meeting you.

The position
As our Senior Laboratory Equipment Professional, you will be a part of a highly dedicated equipment team with the overall responsibility of securing compliance and ready for use of the analytical equipment in the department. It also includes process improvements and innovation, as we have a goal to establish a future equipment park based on automatization and digitalization, which also will include robotics. You will be the front runner for this development.

All analytical equipment will be in scope, in-house we have UPLC’s/HPLC’s, dissolution equipment (manual, automatized and robot) and small equipment such as pipettes, balances, etc. We aim to implement new equipment that will improve our efficiency and productivity, and we are focused on taking in new technology such as robots when possible.

Among your main responsibilities are securing equipment maintenance, specifications, documentation and qualification of newly introduced equipment and driving change within the equipment field with focus on automatization, digitalization and robot technology. At the same time, you will be responsible for driving different equipment related projects according to deadline while ensuring deliverance of high quality. Additionally, you have an important role in supporting the equipment lab technicians in their day-to-day work, playing an active role with systematic problem solving when difficulties occur.

Qualifications
You hold an scientific academic degree, such as cand.polyt., cand.pharm., or similar. You have a minimum of 2 to 5+ years of experience with laboratory equipment in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably from a QC/GMP regulated environment. You have relevant work experience with analysis and equipment maintenance that enables you to evaluate how to translate overall requirements into local requirements that can be handled on a day-to-day basis in the laboratory. You have a drive for change and improvements, a proven interest in automatization and have work with qualification of complex equipment such as robots. You have skills for project management and an ability to drive performance within your project group.

As a person, you are dedicated and bring a good can-do attitude. You enjoy working with people from different professional backgrounds in a team setup, however, we expect you to be self-driven and able to work independently and prioritize between your tasks. You have strong analytical skills and with your systematic approach, you are good at multi-tasking and keeping an overview of many tasks at the same time. We expect you to have good communication skills in both Danish and English.
