The team
Being at the forefront of the business, the role of the Brand Activation team is to ensure a seamless development and delivery of activation plans. It is essential that BAT can follow the shoppers throughout the entire journey, recommend activation strategies in accordance with the consumer trends and drive the transformation of Brand Activation.

The job
You will support our Brand Activation team by driving and optimizing our analytics excellence, while also being part of maintaining and developing concrete digital data and execution to inform and increase business performance. In close collaboration with the Brand Activation team as well as with our Digital IT and Business Intelligence teams, you will play a key role in ensuring that we are at the forefront of digital transformation in digital marketing data and insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being an expert working with digital analytics and performance data
  • Further developing existing tracking setup into elevated end user analytics across entire user journey to inform ongoing funnel optimizations
  • Supporting lead generation initiatives
  • Co-developing extended data collection across entire ecosystem and conversion funnels and analysing drop-off points, ensuring connected digital eco-system tracking
  • Supporting the team in actionable insights and identifying conversion optimization opportunities in conversion funnels
  • Enforcing analytics and supporting a data driven mindset throughout the team
  • Creating goals funnels, segment reporting, performance tracking, custom reporting, ad hoc analysis and dashboards.
  • Data reporting and ongoing performance measurements, generating and visualizing data insights for various audiences

Essential Requirements

As the ideal candidate you are a self-starting technical and analytical specialist. You have strong analytical skills and are a data-driven thinker and paired with your solid knowledge of digital data and analytics you will quickly succeed in the role.

You possess excellent communication skills and find it natural to visualize complex data in an actionable manner, coupled with the ability to influence senior stakeholders by extracting the most important aspects of the details into an elevated strategic perspective.

You have a Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a data-and analytics specialist role where you come with proven experience in both technological as well as commercial aspects of the area.

To succeed in the role, you have:

  • Excellent knowledge of various tracking and analytics frameworks (preferably Google Analytics)
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics, including establishing goals and tracking performance
  • Thorough understanding of all touchpoints within the digital eco-system, including PPC, SEO, Display/Programmatic, Social, CRM etc.
  • Great understanding of juggling tech, data and analytics, knowing that detail is key
  • Flair for presenting findings in dashboards and in ad hoc presentations
  • Eager to be part of driving a new data driven agenda in a large organization
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • A commitment to self-development.

Experience from the FMCG industry and fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
