Cobham SATCOM are looking for a Key Account Manager (Maritime Sales) to develop, maintain and drive solid relationships with named Strategic Accounts, ensuring the highest satisfaction with services/products provided. You will foster cross functional relationships with key stakeholders and ensure constant progress on projects and business opportunities whilst improving business strategies and grow revenue.

This role will be based in Kgs Lyngby and will involve international travel around 80-120 days annually.

As a Key Account Manager (Maritime Sales) your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic collaboration with accounts
  • Acting as the main point of contact between Strategic Account and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and seamlessly.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of needs and requirements and preparing customized solutions for the Strategic Accounts.
  • Addressing and resolving complaints and concerns.
  • Develop and execute Strategic Account plan with clear value proposition
  • Generate new business as directed,
  • Develop and enhance existing customer relations, ensuring continued business,
  • Collaborate with other sales team members,
  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with the Strategic Account and internal stakeholders,
  • Present product and solutions to customers and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner,
  • Engages in all activities related to the accounts to ensure 360 degree coverage.
  • Coordinate marketing activities with accounts and key stakeholders

As a Key Account Manager (Maritime Sales) your skills and experience should ideally include:

  • Minimum of 7 years sales experience with demonstrated ability to manage complex strategic accounts, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Key Account Manager position, taking care of multiple product line for a global customer with multiple divisions and countries.
  • Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in Satellite Communications with knowledge of Constellation Owners and Airtime Providers
  • Experience with working in an indirect channel partner model.
  • Basic knowledge on IP and data communications.
  • Experience in identifying key priorities (customers), building long term relationships and implementing sophisticated account plans to win and maintain strategically important accounts.
  • Experience developing sales strategies, preparing proposals and quotes and presenting high-tech products.
  • Strategic thinking - able to design and build a long term win win relationship at multiple functional and hierarchical levels
  • Able to develop and execute a structured Key Account Plan with multiple compelling value propositions
  • Ideally you will have an international profile – preferably with experience from living abroad
  • High integrity. Understands the need for ethics in business. Demonstrates proper business conduct. Maintains confidentiality and can be trusted.
  • Fluent English written and spoken, ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers and peers
