British American Tobacco is looking for a Digital Manager for the Danish market. The position is based in Copenhagen and reports to Head of Brand Activation, and you will be part of our ambitious and dynamic Brand Activation team.

The Team
Being at the forefront of the business, the role of the Brand Activation team is to ensure a seamless activation of our shoppers and drive the development of activation. It is essential that BAT can follow the shoppers throughout the entire journey, recommend activation strategies in accordance with the consumer trends and drive the transformation of Brand Activation.

As Digital Manager you will be responsible for a team of 3 people, with capabilities and responsibilities within e-commerce and digital campaign activation.

The Job
In this role you will be developing, initiating and overseeing a long-term digital marketing strategy as well as spearheading short-term digital marketing solutions. Your main responsibilities will fall within four areas:

Digital Strategy:

  • Developing the short-term and long-term digital strategy
  • Ensuring sustainability of the channel from a performance and financial standpoint
  • Constantly thriving to develop new touch points and increasing the reach of the digital channel, providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Establishing clear goals and targets for the organization and the team

Supplier Management:

Identifying and partnering with the right agencies and specialists to increase digital marketing results

Budget Management:

Planning, tracking and reporting on digital marketing budget aligned with current planning and reporting structure

People Management:

  • Leading and developing a high performance team in a fast paced environment
  • Managing performance, development and career of the digital marketing team
  • Embedding digital marketing as a new channel for the organization

Required competencies
As an ideal candidate, you have a proven track record of developing a digital marketing strategy, implementing digital ecosystem from e-commerce to CRM and optimizing digital presence (SEO). You bring with you experience in leading and developing people while working effectively within a high performing and diverse team.

You are experienced, driven, agile and willing to challenge the status quo and effortlessly switch between offering strategic leadership and day to day hands on operational excellence in a fast paced and transforming environment.

To qualify for the position, you must possess a Master’s degree and have experience from the FMCG industry. Additional experience from Media agency is a plus.

You must have a solid commercial mindset, possess analytical skills, be ambitious, courageous, resilient and capable of driving own results.

Furthermore you have/are:

  • Strong understanding of key marketing principles: consumer needs and journey, user experience, target audience, etc.
  • Experienced in designing direct to consumer digital marketing strategy including: e-commerce, database acquisition and management, CRM activation and SEO
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a digital marketing position
  • Passionate about digital marketing and up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
  • Excellent consulting, communication and engagement skills, coupled with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in establishing / delivering digital agenda and metrics to meet strategic objectives.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to engage and work in partnership with marketing community within the Business, Region and Globally.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and is committed to self-development.
  • Spoken and written English communications skills.
