Senior Legal Counsel


Do you have strong business acumen, a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and are you able to rapidly assess potential risks and consequences of business and legal decisions? Do you have extensive hands-on experience within IT contracts combined with a commercial mindset and strong communication skills?

And are you eager to help us on our strategic journey? We have recently established a number of growth engines and accelerators that will constitute the majority of our new business going forward. We call them Winning Solutions. And we need your help on the journey.

Your responsibilities

The legal team is responsible for providing general legal counselling to all levels of the organization – from executive management to all our dedicated colleagues throughout NNIT.

As our new Senior Legal Counsel you will be joining a team of 4 colleagues in NNIT's corporate legal department. You will, together with the rest of the legal team, act as trusted advisor on contractual matters and work closely together with the NNIT business units.

You play a significant role in the reviewing and negotiation phase of customer contracts. You will join the core negotiation team where you take the leading role together with sales and the delivery organization.

You will help the NNIT business by providing value-adding legal advice in handling of disputes with both customers and vendors. You will guide on the legal strategy and lead the dispute negotiations in close collaboration with NNIT business.

The legal team also secures regulatory compliance and you will be given certain compliance areas where you will be responsible for learning the compliance area and educating the rest of the legal team and the NNIT organization.

As part of the legal team you will also be responsible for ensuring that the team dedicates time to knowledge share and that you develop as a team in order to become a united trusted advisor towards the NNIT business.

You will join our Legal Department

The legal department is located in our headquarter in Søborg and anchored to refer directly to our CFO. You will interact daily with our international offices, especially the sales offices in Zürich, Tianjin and US as we have clients around the world.

Your qualifications and experience

Our new colleague has a Master’s degree in Danish Law (cand.jur or cand.merc.jur) combined with a strong professional background as legal advisor, and this has given you a high degree of insight into complex IT contracts. It would be a significant advantage if you have knowledge about complex IT-outsourcing and/or cloud contracts, and also if you have experience with drafting and negotiating international IT-contracts, preferably from the American market.

You have a natural interest in the IT market and are ready to explore and learn about our offerings, services and business. You have a solid commercial mindset and an extrovert personality, and you use your diplomatic skills to express and synthesize complex issues and reach a consensus between the parties.

You communicate clearly and interact with all levels of management in a proactive manner. Your negotiation skills are key in face-to-face negotiations but also in remote negotiations on entire contracts or separate provisions. You show a large degree of overview in such situations.

You utilize teamwork opportunities and facilitate cooperation across the organization to achieve a common goal by using your political and empathic ability to find common ground in sensitive situations.

The legal team supports the whole global NNIT organization so fluent English orally and in writing is a pre-requisite. Our contracts are predominantly in English so good English drafting skills are important.
