About the position
The CIO will develop the IT Strategy in cooperation with the business stakeholders in order to provide guidance on how to prioritise IT initiatives within the organisation. As our CIO, you will have the strategic and operative responsibility for Hultafors Groups IT solutions, including infrastructure, ERP and applications in general, and digital solutions aimed at impacting and improving the internal efficiency.

The CIO will lead a team of nine people having different responsibility areas such as project management, security, GDPR, web development etc. Therefore, the CIO will have the overall responsible to ensure that each project is delivered according to the defined roadmap, resources and framework. The CIO has the authority to take decisions within defined budget and in accordance to policies and target architecture, as well as stop initiatives not in line with policies or architecture.

The position is ideally located in Gothenburg but Stockholm, Danderyd, is also an option. Travelling to other sites within Hultafors Group will be expected from time to time, when relevant.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the IT organisation, or identified service providers, can meet business needs going forward.
  • Leading the IT board where all IT initiatives are prioritised, together with the business stakeholders.
  • Supporting the organisation by securing that the IT team knows the agenda, executes external benchmark as well as decides how the applications could be used or developed to reach the best possible way of working.
  • Securing a standardised way of working in relation to the use of applications and IT security in order to guarantee operational excellence.
  • Driving continuous improvements and securing the necessary IT/digital competences in the organisation.

Candidate Profile
The right candidate is a leader and a team player with the ability to understand and prioritise the needs of the organisation. It is important to have the strategic and analytical capability to proactively assess, prioritise and act on improvement possibilities coupled with the willingness to go into details when necessary. In order to drive the IT agenda forward it is essential to take ownership, act with confidence and work in tight collaboration with key stakeholders. At the same time it is central to support and lead your team. Being service and people oriented is therefore necessary. The right candidate makes things happen and maintains quality and productivity.
