The Role

Hansen is seeking a proven strategic Sales professional for our Asia Pacific business. This newly created role will support Hansen’s growing opportunity in the Telecommunications sector within the Asia Pacific Region and reports to the Regional President for APAC, based in Melbourne.

Hansen is uniquely positioned to support Telcos take advantage of the market opportunity created by 5G- services and power our customers’ digital enablement.

The role will involve driving sales activities from initial prospect identification to deal closure. To effectively manage this process the appointed individual should be comfortable with direct customer consulting and client development.

Measures of success

  • Achievement of defined revenue/sales targets
  • Building a direct sales pipeline leveraging internal lead generation capability
  • Driving an indirect sales pipeline through existing and new partners
  • Successful management of sales process from qualification through pre-sales, bid management, contract negotiation and deal closure

What you will be doing

  • Developing a strategy and sales plan to address the designated territory
  • Identifying and developing selling plans for key targets
  • Working closely in region with our global partners to build sales pipeline and close new business
  • Leveraging internal lead generation function to build direct sales pipeline
  • Developing business contacts and maintain successful client relationships
  • Preparing written sales materials and presenting to customers.
  • Actively maintaining a depth of product knowledge for the appropriate markets
  • Representing Hansen at industry forums and exhibitions/tradeshows
  • Maintain accurate and up to date information in CRM system

What you bring

  • A proven track record in business development within Asia
  • Solid international selling experience in Telecommunications BSS/OSS, Cloud and Enterprise Solutions is mandatory - Please highlight details in your application.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organisation.
  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts.
  • Ability to leverage existing contact network
  • International travel will be required.

Please note: This role can be located anywhere within the APAC region.
