Scientist or engineer for business development of neutron/synchrotron x-ray services
Teknologisk Institut
The Danish Technological Institute (DTI) is looking for a new colleague to develop industrial services based on neutron and synchrotron measurements.
You will join a team of highly specialised colleagues working to bring advanced characterisation techniques into industrial use. Your role will be interacting and collaborating with clients to clarify their needs and find the proper tools to solve their challenges. You will –with the other team experts – also be directly involved in measurements, data analysis and data interpretation from neutron and synchrotron x-ray facilities.
DTI is an attractive partner for the industry and provides state-of-the-art commercial services for Danish companies in particular. DTI has recently launched a new suite of advanced characterisation tools based on the use of neutron and synchrotron x-ray measurements. The initiative is cross-disciplinary and involves DTI specialists from several different technical and business areas such as: surface science, metals, polymers, food, pharma, and nanoscience.
Your main goal is to make neutron and synchrotron x-ray analysis available to industrial clients by:
- Examining the value proposition for industrial customers relating to the new services
- Developing and executing the business and sales strategy
- Approaching potential clients and collaborators and organising technical meetings together with DTI experts
- Defining work scope and negotiating agreements with companies
- Participating in neutron/synchrotron x-ray measurements together with DTI experts
- Disseminating the results to industrial clients and stakeholders in Denmark and Europe
You should expect approx. 20 days of travelling activity annually.
Strong business and analytical skills
You have a technical degree (MSc or PhD in physics, engineering, chemistry, or related fields) and a couple of years’ working experience. Furthermore, you:
- Have experience with experimental work and analysis tools, preferably neutron or x-ray techniques,
- exhibit an interest in business and sales, potentially from a technical sales perspective,
- have excellent oral and written skills in Danish and/or English.
You are innovative, result-oriented, a great networker and passionate about making a difference. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy co-development and coordinating with both experts and clients. Furthermore, you present yourself with confidence in complex technical fields.
