The User Research Manager will drive scalable research projects to ensure that ongoing and regular insights are flowing into Product, Platform, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams. These insights can inform both short and long-term optimizations and direction. The ambition is to develop and practice best industry research tools, processes, and standards.

Core Responsibilities
• Support product teams and functional teams with scoping, designing, planning and executing specific research tasks.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research in frequent insights cycles, which provides actionable insights to further develop our products, platforms, and marketing. For instance, conduct user interviews with teachers, develop and distribute surveys, and facilitate product testing with kids.
• Synthesize collected data, triangulate with data from other studies, and present findings and recommendations to Product Owners, Market leads, Leadership Teams, and the broader organization.
• Help build a more solid foundation for LEGO Education’s research activities through establishment and maintenance of Research Panels in key markets.
• Refine existing research methodologies and develop new methodologies that balance speed and agility with reliability and depth.
• Manage contact with research agencies, analyze, and conclude on the large amounts of user, market, partner and competitor data.

Play your part in our team succeeding
The Product Experience (PX) group is responsible for the design, engineering, and leadership of LEGO Education’s product portfolio. We achieve this through a fully integrated approach to the development of educational technology that unifies research, design, engineering, testing, products, and platforms.

Along with two other User Research Managers, this role reports into the Sr. Insights Lead and will take on concrete tasks from stakeholders as well as proactively define and initiate needed product research projects. This will require close collaboration with colleagues in synthesizing research findings and building a common understanding of these that support relevant action.

Do you have what it takes?
• Several years’ experience in user and market research.
• Hands-on experience with preparing and running interviews, surveys, and product testing and analyzing results.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of best practices within qualitative research methods, analysis, synthesis, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail oriented, structured, proactive and self-driven.
• Passion for education and learning. EdTech industry knowledge/experience is a plus.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, design, psychology, sociology, or other social sciences-related experience.
• Advanced English (level 13 or above) is required. Advanced Mandarin Chinese (level 13 or above) would be an advantage.
• Travelling approx. once every quarter required post COVID(China, Germany, UK, US).
