Core Responsibilities
As a Metrology Engineer your primary tasks is to create programs for CMM operational tasks on Additive Manufactured (AM) parts made in plastic or steel. This by assessing the actual specifications and ensuring the right quality on output created for validation. You will also be key driver on specialized tasks, impacting & implementing new technologies and standards. These tasks require people involvement, team leadership and understanding short term opportunities for change and also the ability to challenge status quo. Moreover, you will:

• Execute programs on the CMM equipment and deliver results daily, on time, as promised.
• Bring existing CMM programs up to the latest versioning.
• Prepare overall CMM metrology tasks, looking into GIA, fixtures, methods etc.

Play your part in our team succeeding
You will join our "Elements & Mould Validation - Existing Element Qualification team" consisting of 13 highly specialized colleagues.
We guard and create the validation foundation, by ensuring robust, repeatable and reliable measures on all our LEGO® Elements.
The tolerances in LEGO building system is very narrow, where microns could be the difference between good or bad functions. The measurements used at LEGO is weight, functional measurements and physical measures both on manual equipment and automated technologies such as CMM, One touch etc.
The job is executed in a daily operations environment, where right quality first time, is paramount - “only the best is good enough”!

Do you have what it takes?
To be successful in this position you have a passion for quality and going into details, yet you are innovative and curious. Likewise, you are a great teammate with strong communication skills that enable you to build positive relationships and ensure that we all succeed together! In addition, you have:

• Bachelor´s degree or equivalent in Engineering with experience from CMM related Metrology / Manufacturing industry
• 3 years’ experience working with CMM machines and software tools in an industrial environment
• Experience in Zeiss Calypso
• Knowledge in 3D scanning & Scripting
• Ability to understand specifications, graphs & data, generated in the job
• Willingness to join team seminars and travel up to 15 days per year
• Proficient in English both written and verbally
