Director of Marketing, Northern Europe Market, Google Cloud


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience using marketing automation systems, such as Marketo and Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience or understanding of the North region, the IT market, and the developer audience. Understanding of the enterprise software purchase cycles in the North region for enterprise, cloud-based subscription market.
  • Experience managing external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects.
  • Ability to speak and write in German and/or one of the Northern European languages fluently.
  • Computer Science or technical background.
  • Ability to manage demand for pipeline processing and progression.
  • Demonstrated communication and influencing skills in both business and technical situations.

About the job
Google Cloud is looking for a marketing professional to lead our EMEA marketing strategy and operations in the North region (Germany, Alps, Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe). As the Director of Marketing, you'll build and lead a distributed team of professional marketers to drive Google Cloud awareness, new business acquisition, customer development, and user community programs.

You'll help large businesses move fast and innovate with cloud services, from collaboration tools to infrastructure-as-a-service. You’ll shape the future of how technology is used in the workplace and be part of an entrepreneurial team in one of Google’s fastest growing businesses. Your responsibilities will include management of marketing programs from top of the funnel demand generation through customer marketing once an account is acquired. With extended ownership of EMEA business growth goals, you’ll craft and execute programs for large customer businesses with a focus on driving pipeline and business growth. You'll work with the EMEA Executive Leadership team to understand business needs, help develop and execute a marketing plan, engage with our strategic C-level customers, and report on metrics.

  • Develop customer use case stories and build an engaged customer base. Work with Sales teams on scalable enterprise and developer marketing programs across multiple segments, channels, and partners.
  • Inspire the team and deliver growth in the Northern Europe region by attracting and retaining excellent marketers. Grow awareness, familiarity, and perception for Google Cloud in the region.
  • Develop, socialize, and get buy-in to regional marketing strategy and programs. Work closely with global marketing and Cloud Leadership teams while representing the local voice of the customers in the process.
  • Strategize, execute, roll out, and optimize new customer acquisition campaigns and programs both for mid-market and enterprise customers and/or aligned to horizontal and vertical solutions.
  • Enable partners to scale coverage for Google Cloud Services and build community programs to build deep loyalty with end users and advocates.
